Mitt was caught in one of those Presidential campaign gotchas today when it turned out that the unemployed, single-mother of two, happened to also be the mother of one of his paid staff.
This reminds me of so many gaffes that have been called out throughout the years. Wasn’t the argument in 2000 that Al Gore stretched the truth so he couldn’t be President. Didn’t Kerry supposedly make more out of his military service than it was due? Where’s the outrage on the right?
And how about the Mittster and his long standing hunting experience?
Or his memory of seeing his father marching with MLK?
I often think that repubs like to think of stretching the truth as their own personal preserve — not to be attempted by anyone who is not one of them.
