Obama kicking ass and taking names

Filed in National by on February 10, 2008

“We won in Louisiana, we won in Nebraska, we won in Washington state,” Obama told a roaring crowd at a Democratic fundraising dinner in Richmond last night. “We won north, we won south, we won in between. And I believe that we can win Virginia on Tuesday if you’re ready to stand for change.”

and lest you forget what politics at this level is all about please allow me to remind you…

Clinton campaign officials did not even attempt to assert that it had been a good day for their candidate, but they announced that Clinton had raised $10 million from 100,000 donors since Super Tuesday.

The Clinton Campaign is trying to control the press too.  Gee what current elected officials in the white house do that now?  Lets stop and think really hard if this is the “change” we want

Clinton’s campaign has launched a coordinated effort to discredit Chris Matthews, the host of “Hardball,” and has also criticized “Meet the Press” host Tim Russert for his aggressive questioning of the candidate during a Democratic debate earlier this year.

The “blame the press” thing worked after Iowa because Russert and Mathews WERE freaking horrible.

I don’t know if there is any juice in that staratgy though. At some point people are not voting AGAINST THE MEDIA but FOR OBAMA.

I don’t think it is possible for Hillary to outraise Obama in February. It is not likely that she will win on Tuesday. So this is her only play: blame the press.

Also – I hope Castle’s close identification with McCain hurts him here. Seems the wingnuts have placed their ebenezer.

  4. Delaware Dem says:

Speaking of Castle, what happened to your post rebutting me on Carper. I tried to post a comment in it and it seems to have disappeared. It’s as if I used the Force to make you take it down. LOL.

Went out with the wife, saw a movie and forgot all about the primaries yesterday. This morning we went out for breakfast at Lucky’s (the old Ranch House) and Huckabee Hound pops up on their TV screen.

I asked the wife if she knew how Obama did and she told me he had one four primaries. Made the rancid coffee go down much better.

While the Shuster comment was stupid and uncalled for, it seems overly manipulative of Clinton to suddenly be taking on Matthews and Russert for being the general hacks they are. Matthews has been saying something stupid and uncalled for about Hillary Clinton for quite some time now — why start pushing back now? Going to war against a network right now, just seems pathetic, and I think that you are right Jason, that this tactic smacks abit too much of BushCo.
