Pitcher and wingnut Curt Schilling is contemplating running for the open Massachusetts senate seat, although he may not be eligible to run as a Republican.

Of course, Ann Coulter has only fantasized about killing Justice Stevens, everyone in the New York Times building and everyone in the Middle East. The only people I’ve seen Beck want to kill are Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Rangel. O’Reilly just wants to kill everyone in San Francisco.

No doubt. As a devout Phillies fan, I can remember thinking he was somewhat of a pompous bit## about half-way into the 1993 season. I remember debating some others before then by defending the guy, but after a while, it was easy to see their point.

I have never liked Schilling. He was an ass in a Phillies uniform and never missed an opportunity to trash the city and its fans. And I didn’t even know he was a Republican until 2004.
But, and here’s the important thing…He broke the curse!!! And really DD, you have anything to do with anyone winning a World Series?? Didn’t think so.

Schilling is ineligible to be Senator for Massachussetts because he’s actually held a job. Granted, that job was playing a game, but it still beats inheriting Daddy’s rum-running money or marrying a ketchup heiress. What did Henry Cabot-Lodge do for a living? I forget. A group cited by U.S. officials as a domestic terrorism threat claimed responsibility Friday for knocking down two radio station towers in Snohomish County, Washington. Much of the tower system, owned by radio station KRKO, was “flattened like a pancake,” the manager said.

The Earth Liberation Front (ELF) issued a statement saying opponents of the towers argue that “AM radio waves cause adverse health effects including a higher rate of cancer, harm to wildlife, and that the signals have been interfering with home phone and intercom lines.”
“When all legal channels of opposition have been exhausted, concerned citizens have to take action into their own hands to protect life and the planet,” Jason Crawford, a spokesman for the group, said in a news release.
Members of ELF have been sentenced for acts of domestic terrorism in the past.

An AM radio station in Allentown, Pennsylvania was targeted also. A tower was toppled Friday according to sister radio station WHP in Harrisburg yesterday.
WAEB is owned by Clear Channel and carries Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
