Around the Horn Friday: Gave up Paul Smith for Lent edition
Hopefully Delaware Liberal is getting its mojo back. Like us or hate us, we are running strong. BIG shout-outs to Tommywonk and DoctorNick for their contibutions. I am feeling good about keeping this bandwagon rolling. The best news is that there’s only 1 year, 10 months and 27 days left of this corrupt administration. Although if we have learned anything in the past six years, it’s never say “How much damage can they really do?”
Tommywonk tells us that coal isn’t clean. Joan at Citizens for a Better Sussex agrees and has lots of pretty links to prove it.
Over with our favorite Green, Dana has been busy this week. He has excellent stuff about the cooked books at Justice, Global Warming at Exxon and Hillary in Iowa.
Hube has given me something to do at the U of D in the beginning of March. I have spent an evening with Julian Bond. He is charming, clever and quite serious about politics. Now I know why Hube doesn’t like him…
Celia Cohen has the latest on Adkins and his shrinking list of friends over at The Delaware Grapevine.
Karmic Jay and Donvitti have nice tirades on the coverage of AnnaNicole instead of something…well…important.
Dave Burris over at FSP is trying to sell the Leiberman as a Republican story. Seeds of discontent, indeed!
JTTR is back after a week off. Welcome back. Turns out Ryan and I both like the idea of NASA going outside the orbit of the Earth. Although he does post an editorial about Murtha that is riddled with half-truths and fallacies. Ah, back to normal.
Kavips riffs on a Tommywonk post about the sad state of school funding and inner city educational opportunities.
Kilroy sinks to comparing RAM to Hitler because she told the state climatologist to stop using his title to promote flat Earth opinions about Climate Change. The question is why doesn’t RAM just pull a Bush and just have someone rewrite all of his statements to make them more in line with her administration.
Taking a walk down Merit-Bound Alley I found a nice post that rips the attitude of willful ignorance of the administration using QE2 as a launch point.
Over at Mike’s Musings, Mike has a great post about the silliness that is religion and non-religion in schools. Nice rant, that one.
MOT Newbie revisits the Worlds Smallest Political Quiz. I’m afraid to take, lest I have to beg Dave Burris (our future Representative) to let me come worship at the feet of Bill Lee.
Over at Delaware Way, Nancy gores Legates as the Big Oil shill that he is.

Curious: How can you even make such a judgment about him with all the mental impairments you suffer? Wow …
With First State, Hube and JTTR I find it interesting that none of our local wingnuts have taken up the new GOP talking points that victory in Iraq is just over the horizon if we would only put more faith in George Bush and that an Iranian mushroom cloud over America is imminent.
Are they just resting their saber rattling arms, or is their hope for even the most hopelessly deluded among us?
Yes, mental impairments, that is me all over. Good catch on that, Hube. You are certainly the normal one.
I like Mr. Bond because he gave me shiny things to play with…
This is a riot over at Donviti’s:

thanks anon….
I thought my Lent like Nun post was much funnier though
