Wilmington business owners and civic leaders participate in national day of health reform action

Wilmington, DE – Between 6:30pm and 8:00pm small business owners and civic leaders in Wilmington will hold house parties and hold public meetings as part of a nationwide effort to urge health care reform. Similar events will be held simultaneously in health care battleground states targeting US Senators and Representatives urging them to vote for health care reform that includes a public health insurance option while not taxing health benefits.

“As a small business owner, I know how important it is to have access to affordable health care. I’m asking Congress for the choice of a public health insurance option that will lower costs, improve quality and keep insurance companies honest,” said Claudette Sherwood, owner of Time for Tots, a childcare business in Wilmington.
