Mine is a Horrible 18 out of 100. Basically, I need to get in the car for EVERYTHING.
Pretty cool. I’d use this thing if I was moving to a new town and comparing houses. Of course you need to check the score with a first hand evaluation.
For instance, my 18 here is a bit inflated because I’m not about to walking along the shoulder of a highway to go to Wawa and do my grocery shopping.
My walk score is 60! Gotta love city living. Now, if only I actually walked to all those places!
What DL’er will have the highest? Hmmm

I got a 51, living in Union Park Gardens, but I would argue with it, as I don’t own a car and get by just fine…

Interesting. I played with this thing last summer and got a 34 for home and an 84 at work. Checking it this morning I find a 38 at home and an 80 at work. I wonder what data they changed?
I hadn;t thought about doing work. An even worse 14 !!

I got a 22 in Limestone Hills, which is interesting because I often do walk to three different shopping centers in that range, but I guess since those walks are all in the 1 1/2-2 miles range they don’t think that’s normal “walkable.”

When I lived in DC people would say, “Is it in walking distance?” which is funny because for me two miles was walking distance, but they meant was it within two blocks.

My score is 85 out of 100.
But the data they use is seriously messed up. They do include Coffee Shops (and other businesses) that no longer exist and some lawfirms (Scadden Arps??) as Libraries. Some of the places they list as grocery stores, well, you just wouldn’t go. I love this, though, because it shows where to work for neighborhood upgrades.

VC, I’m on the other side of the river, near Monkey Hill, and this test didn’t list Trolley Acme on my map! I walk to Acme, okay not often, but we do walk to Temptations!

For living in the Burb’s, I think a 48 is a pretty good score.
Now, if we could get sidewalks on at least one side of the street throughout Stanton and Marshallton it would be alot safer.

It’s difficult to me to understand how computer counts my walk, drive and others scores. By what criterion it judges? I always don’t agree with my mark and I feel upset! I don’t need most things (Gas Station, Railway Station) that computer proposing to me. But I found a service http://drivescore.fizber.com/ that offers me to choose things by myself. So my score became much higher than it was. So you can think that you are living in a kingdom of heaven. And you’ll sell your home with a good price and very fast.
