Bill Lee AWOL

Where is Bill Lee?

He has missed every candidate forum since he announced. I wish Celia Cohen was around to come up with some weak metaphor to explain Lee’s uhmmm….unique campaign style.

Lee does not want to acknowledge he is in a primary. He certainly doesn’t want to share equal billing with Protack.

  2. anon says:

Why would he? If he shows up, Markell and Carney can train their fire on him instead of each other. Plus, Protack would look less like a loser.

When Carney and Markell are sharing a stage with Protack & Dave Graham, so you think it elevates the Repubs or diminishes the Demos?

If I were Lee, I’d stay away from debates and forums until after the primary. Plus, the others complaining about it gives him big front-runner mojo.

  3. Sagacious Steve says:

When you basically draft a reluctant candidate into a race, you get at best a reluctant candidate. Bill Lee gave the R’s the ‘name on the ballot’ they desperately wanted. I think that’s about all he’s gonna give them.

He’s 4 years older than he was when he ran against Minner. Does anyone really think he’s going to be more energetic this time around?

  4. the cajun says:

He’s probably knocking back a few at the Rudder in Dewey…it is after noon, after all.

  5. Here are the simple facts, he is unprepared. It has nothing to do with equal billing with anyone.

For instance last week he said on WDEL he needed more information on Blue Water Wind before he could take a stand. One of the top issues in the state and no opinion after over a year of headlines and numerous news events.

Whether he debates or not we are going to win the GOP primary.

  6. RickJ19958 says:

Mike, don’t you have to enter the primary to win it? You still haven’t paid your filing fee.

If I were Lee, I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep worrying about a guy who has never won a race at any level, and who got beat 4 to 1 at a convention where he was the only candidate present.

  7. Karl Rove says:

AWOL is correct for many reasons. Every one including the homeless guys on Rodney Square know Lee is not going to win and will likely lose by 20% or more if he beats Protack which is in doubt at this point.

I believe it was Dana who pointed out how Protack had pulled an incredible checkmate on the GOP. If Protack wins the primary and that is looking better and better then of course Lee goes back to chasing MILFs. If Lee wins it won’t be by much (less than 10%) and with Protack in the general election Lee will get smoked very very badly.

Now for the debates. Lee won’t accept for three reasons. First, he has nothing to say except I told you so (about Minner). Second, no one has faulted Protack for his debate performances (even the ‘social justice’ crowd liked him). Lee would be stupid to take him on. Protack will smile and eat him for Lunch. Third, Lee is old. In fact when most people ask how old he is and they hear 72 they are surprised because they think he is older, a lot older.

The convention( yawn, I am sorry I went) and the filing fee. If Protack pays his filing fee to the GOP Politburo more than one day before the deadline (end of July) then he is crazy. The convention was a zero for Lee, he no showed and had zero ground swell during or after. Protack went, did his penance and I am sure laughed all the way home. The convention is the same old people doing the same old thing, picking losers for November.

Final analysis, Lee is limping along wondering what the Hell he got himself into as he knows he will lose and lose badly.

Protack faces a huge uphill fight against Carney or Markell but with a win against AWOL and the Independent gig he might pull it off if the budget woes , economy sliding and a scandal pops up.

Think about it, Graham shows up and Lee does not. Go figure.

  8. RickJ19958 says:

Wow, Postcard Pete. Another sockpuppet with delawaregop as its home page. How clever.

Zero ground swell? He got 81% of the delegates’ votes without being there. Protack didn’t win a single region – including his home region.

Final analysis, Protack wanted to make it past September so badly that he called Wolfgang von Baumgart and begged for a slot. My prediction is Mike won’t make it to Frank Infante’s numbers from 2004. He will blame someone else for his poor showing.

  9. Karl Rove says:

The endorsement of 81% of the GOP delegates is as important as a $1.00 gift certficate at McDonalds. Ting did just as well, so did Clatworthy, John Burris and many others. You won’t admit it but the convention is a non event attended by mostly old people (like Lee) with no clue.

Final analysis, Lee is toast. Burnt toast. Also, Protack did checkmate the GOP, a brilliant move all the way around. It is imposible for Lee to win, totally and completely impossible.

My prediction for Ricky is he will continue to complain, whine and talk in circles. You, my hateful and uninformed friend are the true sockpuppet. Too bad the Delaware GOP is full of people just like you. The good news is there are so few Republicans that it doesn’t matter in the end.

So when does the old geezer debate Protack? You know Graham will show up, why won’t Lee.

  10. RickJ19958 says:

One thing Ting, Clatworthy, and Lee all have in common is that they all beat Protack. So I understand why you are especially bitter about those three.

Here’s the thing about the “checkmate” you and Dana Garrett seem to be so overjoyed about – it doesn’t give Mike Protack a chance at victory. If it lowers the chance at there being a Republican Governor, then how does Mike Protack benefit? He gets to ruin another election for the party whose principles he alleges to hold dear? How does that help Protack?

There is a subset of the human race that realizes that just because they don’t get their way they don’t have the right to crap all over everyone. Those people are called “adults”. You and your pal should join them.

  11. anon says:

My prediction for Ricky is he will continue to complain, whine and talk in circles.

My prediction for little Mikey is he’ll continue to pretend that he has support that’s not there, he’ll continue to whine like the little bitch he is, and he’ll continue to take shots from behind a cloak. Then he’ll lose 65-35 to Lee and probably get less of the vote in November than that wack job from 2004 with the long hair and the bar.

It’s classic when you hear Mikey’s supporters talking about his debate performance. You can just hear Mikey on the phone in the background saying “Mommy! Mommy! I got to play with the big kids again!”

The big question is what will little Mikey do after his blistering defeat in 2008? What I mean is will it be Treasurer or Congress in 2010? What about 2012? Will it be another loss for Governor or will it be another loss for U. S. Senate? Maybe President?

  12. Sorry but wasn’t this post about AWOL Lee which is a sad fact. He is no where to be found and to anyone with a brain he has no chance. Lee is a coward and will not debate Protack.

With Lee at the top there is no chance of a Republican Governor-none. Protack faces tough odds in the fall but he has some chance and at least has the desire to run and Yes his Independent nod completely hands Lee a blow out loss in the fall. Lee will go down like a cheap date.

Protack will beat Lee in September or at the worst lose very closely and then old Lee will be a no show for the fall. At least he will have some time to get back to the Rudder before winter.

The GOP is already ruined by idiots like RickyJ and the chumps who think they run the party.

So, Little RickyJ what fault do you find with Protack’s debate performance? Other than the fact he has the courage to show up where Lee is out of state or out of touch. Why didn’t Lee know anything about Blue Water Wind, geez is he that old and senile?

There will be a Republican Governor you idiot- Jack Markell.

  13. I forgot to ask. If the tired and old guy has no idea about Blue Water Wind what is his answer to Health Care? Him and McCain are on Medicare so what does AWOL propose?

AWOL should know a bit because he had major surgery two years ago to prevent a stroke didn’t he? Geez. MCain looks young next to AWOL.

Bring it on Ricky. By the way, what is a MILF?

  14. RickJ19958 says:

    Scoreboard.

    81% – 19%.

I know your Svengali says the convention meant nothing to him. Curious timing on the seven mail pieces and the four auto-dialers, then.

By the way, super-classy using a porn site for your homepage. Way to court the conservative vote.

  15. liberalgeek says:

    URL adjusted accordingly.

  16. Anon says:

Frontrunners don’t debate pathetic losers. It’s one of the oldest laws of politics. Karl Rove, you’re not.

  17. The debate opportunities and challenges will come from many of the same groups who have hosted the ones between Carney and Markel, not from our campaign.

The press will cover these events.

The convention is a great social event but the messages and mail served a purpose beyond the convention. As a political event the convention has lost its luster and relevance.

    Thanks to all the Veterans.

  18. A few folks have pointed out the significance of paying filing fees.

  21. Anon says:

Bill Lee will ignore whatshisname through the primary, but I’ve heard a lot of people say ‘I’m going to enjoy beating the snot out of that bastard this time.’

I expect the most well-attended turnout operation in years for the GOP primary. They remember all of the postcards and the blog comments and they’re fiercely motivated to crush Prozack.

Please forgive El Somnambulo’s ignorance, for he is not a native of your Great Country. However, as one who toiled laboriously to learn your language, he knows English As a Second Language when he sees it.

And , when he reads the same illiterate prose coming from ‘Protack for Governor’, ‘Karl Rove’, and ‘RickJ Is a Loser’, ESL in triplicato, he thinks that the same painfully slow student is posing as all three, or at least 3 hermanos are speaking as one.

Is that, how you say in English, kosher?

Careful, kind visitor. Many have noticed this before, but when they mention it, they become the victims of anonymous postcards which assail their character, and sometimes their faith. All unrelated, of course.
