Welcome to your Tuesday open thread. The thread is open, so c’mon in!
My husband is the chef in the house and he loves cooking shows (especially Top Chef). I don’t generally know who the famous chefs are but I do know one person I’m rooting for for the James Beard Foundation Awards.

Delaware represent! Maybe our state can sweep some awards. We have an Oscar winner. It would be nice to have a JBF award winner too.
Donald Trump really is ridiculous. I don’t think he’s really serious about running for president but he’s entertaining in a weird way.
This morning, the hosts of Fox & Friends asked real estate mogul and presidential hopeful Donald Trump how he planned to gain the national security credentials necessary to sit in the Oval Office. An indignant Trump responded that “I probably have more experience than anybody” in the GOP field because of his international business dealings, and said that the way he “screwed” Col. Muammar Qaddafi on a land deal is a blueprint for how the United States should deal with foreign leaders:
TRUMP: I’ve been interacting with leaders of countries and leaders of business all over the world for all of my life. I think you guys probably know that better than anybody. I think I probably have more experience than anybody, whether I sell them real estate for tremendous amounts of money, I mean I’ve dealt with everybody. And by the way I could tell you something else — I dealt with Gaddafi. What’d I do with Gaddafi? I rented him a piece of land, he paid me more for one night than the land was worth for the whole year, two years, and then I didn’t let him use the land! That’s what we should be doing. I don’t want to use the word ‘screwed,’ but I screwed him!
Trump says he’ll be a good president because he’s done dirty deals. Well, at least he’s honest.

I wonder if the trained, endangered red squirrel on his head will be his running mate.
This guy gets the trophy for personal hypocrisy, as soon as Newt gives it back:
Portugal braces for govt collapse over debt vote
AP March 22, 2011 Barry Hatton
LISBON, Portugal (AP) — Portugal’s government is on the verge of collapse after opposition parties withdrew their support for another round of austerity policies aimed at averting a financial bailout.
The expected defeat of the minority government’s latest spending plans in a parliamentary vote Wednesday will likely force its resignation and could stall national and European efforts to deal with the continent’s protracted debt crisis.
(Socialism – it’s all fun and games until you run out of other peoples money to spend)
And once again, our avocado groupie demonstrates he can’t read.
What is interesting about the Portugal story is that the government is nominally headed by the Socialist Party. Yes, those socialists. However — these Socialists are about to lose their place in government because of — wait for it — their imposition of MORE austerity measures INSTEAD of trying to get more of other people’
s money to spend. The same kind of austerity measures being imposed by the Tories in the UK is what is bringing these Socialists down.
And guess who opposes these austerity measures? Guess who wants to keep spending money because too many people will get hurt otherwise? The Social Democrats. Who are — for our wingnut friends who haven’t much of a clue — the *conservatives*.
It looks more to me that governing for these conservatives (much like our home grown ones) *is* the fun and games. The health of a nation is never going to be more important than their being in power.
I think Trump just disqualified himself by being honest.

FUSION PONZI SCAM
Moderate republicans and democrats, take note.
Minor parties are labeled ‘minor,’ because their “electoral strength is so weak that they have little chance of gaining control of a government.” Free dictionary
Some hope to take advantage of certain Delaware political fallout to change that.
See article ‘HB 11 Hearing’ of DelawarePolitics.net, 3/22/11. by D.A.
Legislators, as well as the general public, need to be refreshed as to Delaware’s history of and the resulting present day implications of, past unscrupulous undertakings.
Time to recall past and present day entailment at the azs end of a renegade elephant in sheep’s clothing.
One would think everyone would call for the end to the politically radical ponzi scam, call “Fusion.” Low and beholden, everyone but republicans and stool pigeons.
Breaking now: Elizabeth Taylor has died.
