West Virginia is offering special driver’s licenses to people who oppose digitized photos because they believe this could be the beginning of the biblical “mark of the beast” prophecy.

I think this is a golden opportunity for me to use the term “fucktard.” I don’t know of anyone much more deserving than these folks.

I’ve got thoughts for them, courtesy of Iron Maiden:

“666, the number of the beast, 666, the one for you and me…”

Digitized photos? Oh no! “Run to the hills, run for your lives!”

    Again, fucktards. That is all.

  2. Curses! Foiled again!

I’ll get your souls next time, West Virginia! NEXT TIME!!!! BLARGHAGHAGHRGHAGH!!

Is there a precedent for throwing a state out of the Union? I know states can’t leave of their own volition (the civil war settled that), but I wonder if all other states agreed that one state needed to leave, whether it could happen.

West Virginia can become the Independent Crazy Racist Republic of Incestula.

  4. Merkin says:

    Nope.

    Californica goes first.

And I want a border fence from Oregon to Mexico.

  5. delawaredem says:

No, California stays. The states I see as adding no value to the union are West Virginia, Alabama and Kansas. The rest have at least some redeeming value.

  6. Merkin says:

Too late. The paperwork is already completed and I already started moving the Mexicans in. You know it’s possible to turn them back once they have started.

  7. Merkin says:

Err….NOT possible, that is. Damn typos.

    What value does CA have?

Why the hell is the state acquiesing to these religious folks?

  9. cassandra_m says:

There used to be a fair number of states that provided a religious exemption (2nd commandment) for certain groups — Mennonites, Hutterites, Amish and so on. No idea if this is still the case with the creeping in of the Real ID business, but it seems to me that if you are going to make Muslim women take full face pictures (no niqabs) there should not be a religious exemption for anyone.

  10. Brian says:

It seems to me Cassandra that there should be exemptions for everyone in a free scoiety. That is if you want an ID ok and to participate in driving etc….ok….. if you do not want one it is not necessary.

  11. cassandra_m says:

The exemptions were(are) for Driver’s Licenses — I should have made that clear. If you don’t want or need a state-provided driver’s license or ID you certainly should not be made to have one.

BTW — how the heck are you?

I think what amazes me more is that W.V. , under this diverse plan is being so PC.

  13. Art Downs says:

And the beast that hath two backs
And unto the mouth of each there is hair
Count the number of the beast
    It is sixty and nine.

    Show some respect!

Perhaps there is a reason why some folks elect Rockefeller and Byrd to the Senate.
