Secret Service Whores It Up In Colombia

Some members of the advance team in Colombia were relieved of duty and returned to the United States due to accusations relating to “at least one agent having involvement with prostitutes in Cartagena”.

    kavips–generally my position, given that prostitution is mostly legal in Colombia, but . . .

    Colombia is also a major site of child prostitution and human trafficking.

    I have no problem with folks who want to sell sex when they are not being coerced: children and slaves, on the other hand, have no ability to withhold consent.

    So it’s a bit more complex than just sex.

    yeah, i think id be one thing if they met some girls at the bar and partied….. There’s no way of knowing if these girls were sex workers completely of their own accord.

    They were on duty. They were traveling on red passports and using public funds. They swore to uphold a code of conduct that they failed to meet. It has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with conduct unbecoming of an officer.

    Just curious, L/E.. If they went on a date, let’s say with Shakira, she’s Columbian, and it went where most dates go, would the fact they were on red passports or being paid with public funds, still cause them to be sent back for having sex?

    If that is true, every military personnel currently employed by the federal government, needs to be jerked back home…

    I cannot buy the argument, that because your employer is the United States Federal Government, you must remain celibate…

    That is Un-American. I’m embarassed to live in a country with such creepy puritanical morals….

    This wasn’t some off hours romp. They were on official travel and on pay status.

    No. Secret Service agents have a code of conduct that is quite strict (and a dress code). If you don’t want to put up with the rules, you can go find another bloody job. But if you’re going to take the pay (and the pay is rather generous), then you need to follow the rules. Simple as that.

    As for Shakira (if you can pry her away from Piqué), that would all depend what the code of conduct says. I’ll bet they’re not even allowed to bring their wives on assignments.

    And that’s BS. Many do have morals and integrity.

    oh – and most DATES do NOT equal SEX – BTW –

    and I doubt Shakira would be asking for money the next morning – more like she’d be paying someone to keep it quiet….

    maybe kavips employer allows them to have sex while on assignment and on the clock – if so WHO do you work for???
