The Polling Report [7.10.12]

Filed in National by on July 10, 2012

I am issuing an APB for state polling organizations. It has been two weeks since we had a batch of state polls. We just got a Field Poll out of California, but what we want is polling out of the swing states. In the Gallup poll below, President Obama has a small lead over Mitt Romney, 47% to 45%, in 12 swing states. Across the entire country, the margin doubles to four, 48% to 44%.

NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Gallup Tracking): Obama 48, Romney 44
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Gallup): Obama 47, Romney 40, Gary Johnson (L) 3, Ron Paul (?) 2, Jill Stein (G) 1, Virgil Goode (C) 1
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Rasmussen Tracking): Romney 46, Obama 45
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (TIPP for Investors Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor): Obama 43, Romney 42
CALIFORNIA–PRESIDENT (Field Poll): Obama 55, Romney 37

Some local wingnut commenter bet his life and all his possessions that Romney was going to trounce Obama in California. LOL.

CALIFORNIA–SENATOR (Field Poll): Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) 51, Elizabeth Emken (R) 32

i don’t know DD–my spots only polled thru June 27th. I guess w/ the holiday and such it would be kinda skewed numbers, or unanswered inquiries.
