The Band Rocks
VH1 is playing the last Waltz tonight and I don’t want my last post [for who knows how long due to changes in my work thing] to be one that rags on Hube. I actually like Hube, but he hates my guts. That’s okay. I’m being carried on a wave of love, raspy three part harmony and positive Levon Helm vibes right now so I will not say goodbye, but see you later.
Geek, DD, DV, Cassandra, and Pandora –
You guys rock. Keep sticking it to the man and send me occasional coded messages through the Delaware State News’ “soundoff” feature. BTW – I asked Nemski to join the team, but he is playing coy. Someone should tell him that DL is the third largest circulation newspaper in DE.
Nighty night.

Oh wait, wrong persona. The Band Rocks!

You fucking hippies. 🙂
Van Morrison blows it out with them on Caravan. I’ve still never seen the entire movie start to finish. A friend gave it to me on DVD five years ago so I should get around to it.
I did see these guys live twice, July 8 & 9 1995 in Chicago, opening up the Grateful Dead’s final two performances. And yes, they rocked.
Nice post, J. Bubblicious.
Dude…even The Band reunited once after the farewell tour. You just can’t give it up, can you?
With that, I share text from an email I sent to J and some of the other contributors earlier in the week, after he alerted us some one or two weeks ago:
I hate Dixie!
But not you, J…
The Band! About as American as you can get!…Good choice.
Third largest circulation newspaper in Delaware?
jason, you need a break. The aluminum foil in the hat is beginning to come out. There are at least a half dozen local weeklies in the State that get seen by more Delaware citizens on a regular basis than examine all the political blogs in the state combined.
Steve,
I’m not sure, but I think Jason’s tongue may be firmly planted in cheek on that one.
I for one think we would be better off without him
I give it four days.
Optimist.
As a really-o, truly-o hippie I like Joan Baez’s rendition of this song.
Just think, what will you all do with yourselves….you won’t have Jason Scott to kick around anymore….
Always remember, others may hate you but those who hate you don’t win…unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.
