    I can honestly say I never felt the need or tried to touch a black persons hair. Why would I? That was weird.

    @AGovernor — it definitely happens and it is plenty weird (actually, it is pretty maddening) when it does. Somehow, white people seem to think that the different hair of black people is somehow in the public domain, your personal space be damned.

    I hear you — I don’t have any issues with the desire to touch my hair, my issue is with the people who are disrespectful enough to reach out and pat my head without permission.
