Modern day Republicans view the anniversary of September 11, 2001 as some sort of national holiday where they let their Hate-Muslims-Kill-Everyone flag fly. Here is a good example of the Republican “Let’s Celebrate 9/11” mentality.

9/11 was the best possible thing to happen for conservatives spoiling for war against Iraq. Cheney and Rumsfeld have been very unguarded about this.
That conservatives continue to view the events of the day with such fondness is just sickening and sad.
That ad is morbid and ghoulish, but I’m sure the owner of Tumble Down Trails considers himself a patriot.
That area code is in Paul Ryan’s district, so there is a pretty good probability that a bunch of fuckbrains play at that course.

Apparently these guys have gotten quite the beating if you look at their Facebook page. First, they were going to pull the promotion — letting those with tee times booked play for the advertised rate, and then donate some part of the rest of the day’s proceeds to someone. Now it looks like they might not open tomorrow — worried about the backlash.
That new Japanese restaurant in Trolley Square is scheduled to open in October so they can do half price Sushi on 7 December.
