    No, I took this somewhere between Barstow and Vegas on I-15, near to the Cronise Lakes.

    Dorian, I would give you credit but you had the interstate number wrong. I-10 takes you from LA to Phoenix. 15 takes you to Vegas.

    Ah, that reminds me of the first line of the HST book. “We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold.”

    Second line is even better. “I remember saying something, like, ‘I feel a little light-headed, maybe you should drive.'”
