Another Great Local Company

If you are in the publishing business and want to work in Delaware, you have the opportunity to work at one of the top 10 publishing companies to work for in America.  Prestwick House, a publishing firm in Smyrna, placed #4 in the nation for best publishing companies to work for.  I wonder if one of the reasons is their liberal blogging policies?  Way to go, Prestwick House!

I heard Newt Gingrich was connected to this. I don’t know if that’s true, but just sayin’.

BTW, would this post be like me saying how great DTR is in the radio business (provided I had a link to back it up)?

“Publishing business” is a misleading description of what Prestwick does. It’s not like they’re a publisher of general-interest magazines or books. They do educational materials (read: textbooks), which is a specialized niche unto itself. It’s not like a soon-to-be-laid-off News Journal editor or reporter or ad sales rep could seamlessly transition to that line of work. Graphic designers, probably, yeah.

    crap says whut?

Niche to be sure, but we are pretty psyched to be considered the fourth best book publishing company to work for in the country.

    Thanks for noticing geek!

to restate… crap says saying prestick is a “publishing business” is like saying dave burris is a “political observer.” it leaves out the really important part – educational / conservative.
