You don’t have to be a theologian to know that the bible frowns on homosexuality. Further, it is fairly consistently frowned on in both the old and new testaments, so people who shrug off the bible’s unhappiness with homosexuality are being a bit disingenuous when they say, “Well the Bible also says not to eat shellfish.”
Having said that, as Joanne and others point out, you have to torture the teachings of Christ beyond recognition to say that Jesus wanted homosexuals, like everybody else, to be treated with anything other than love and compassion.
Bottom Line: This guy is no disciple of Christ.
Everybody knows Jesus was gay, anyway.
