That seems to sum up (as of this writing, which is shortly before the Super Committee deadline) the rather expected results of the work of said Super Committee.

Speechless

We've all seen (I hope) the video of the UC Davis Police pepper-spraying the OWS protesters who were sitting, arms-locked and -- most importantly -- peacefully, when the police decided that mistreating students was the most important thing they could do that day. (This video is 8+ minutes long and is an amazing document of the public reaction to this incident as well of the police retreating in full embarassment.)

Bill has lots of supporters among the readers of this blog, so do your best to get out and support him as he announces.

Zombie Casino Alert! Part II

Another article in the NJ today provides some information on the purported losses to Delaware casinos as a result of the added competition from Maryland and Pennsylvania. An industry group points to a 2.5% loss of revenue over 2010 numbers, while the casinos point to a 13% loss in revenues for slots.

Occupy Delaware Starts Saturday, November 5

As noted yesterday in a couple of comments in the Open Thread, Occupy Delaware begins its occupation at H. Fletcher Brown park in Wilmington, DE at 10AM. You can check for details at OccupydDE.org (where there is also notice of the next planning meeting on Wednesday 2 November). Occupy Delaware also has a Facebook page that all of you should subscribe to and a Twitter presence if you monitor that.
