Washington Post: “Emboldened by polls predicting an electoral-college landslide in the presidential race, Clinton is shifting her strategy to lift up other Democrats coast to coast. She and her party are rushing to capitalize on a turbulent turn in Trump’s candidacy, which has ruptured the Republican Party, to make down-ballot gains that seemed unlikely just a month ago.”
“For Clinton, the move is opportunistic and has governing implications. If elected, a mandate may not be enough for her to muscle a progressive agenda on immigration and other issues through a Republican-controlled Congress. She would almost certainly govern more efficiently with Democratic majorities.”
I feel this video was made for Jason330.
Jason has always complained about the Democratic Party lacking a simple overarching narrative or direction. Or something like that. He says it most when confronted by our milquetoast Delaware Democrats like Tom Carper and John Carney. He says their bipartisan yearning and middle of the road preening obfuscates what the Democratic Party stands for. More times than not, he is right.
This video puts into words exactly what I have always believed to be the theme and purpose of the Democratic Party in my lifetime. Elizabeth Warren, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Lewis and Tim Kaine narrate it.

Vice President Joe Biden took Donald Trump to task over comments he made bragging about his ability to grope women, saying he wished he were in high school so “I could take him behind the gym,” ABC News reports.
Said Biden: “What he said and did and does is the text book definition of sexual assault. He said because I am famous, because I am a star, because I am a billionaire I can do things other people cant. What a disgusting assertion for anyone to make.”
Rachel Maddow says Biden should probably apologize. Conservative commenters on Twitter are saying if Trump had said that, the media would go nuts. Maybe. But when Donald threatens violence, he does it to bully or intimidate. Joe’s reason: to stand up for women. To stand up to a bully. When a man hits a woman, that man can expect a beating, and there is nothing at all to apologize for.
Don’t you apologize, Joe. Don’t you dare.
Tom Gordon Must Resign at Once

Matthew Meyer has provided evidence of his residency in New Castle County, Delaware for the sufficient time period, according to the Department of Elections. But that is not the end of this story….

I knew it was going to be a disaster. The Al Smith dinner is a New York City tradition during the quadrennial Presidential Election cycle, a white-tie charity dinner at the Waldorf Astoria where both candidates give what are supposed to be self deprecating humorous roasts of themselves and their rival. Kinda like the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. The dinner benefits Roman Catholic charities but also serves as a civil break in the tension of a campaign. I knew Donald Trump would be a disaster at this. First off, he cannot ever take even the slightest ribbing. He takes ultimate offense at any joke about him because he has a massive ego but is also massively insecure as a man. Second, he hates Hillary because she is a woman and because she is beating him, so it would be impossible to be light heartedly funny about her. His jokes would be vicious and mean.
To be fair, Trump started off ok. And then he went off the rails and just started delivering his stump speech with no jokes, and he was booed off the stage. Rightfully so.
The Other Debates last night

I am working on getting recordings of the full debate between gubernatorial candidates John Carney (D) and Colin Bonini (R) and congressional candidates Lisa Blunt Rochester (D) and Hans Riegle (R) as speak. I will post them when they become available.
Having lost the election, Gordon now tries to disqualify Meyer

You just knew he could not be a gracious loser, right? Years of authoritarian entitlement and corruption do not prepare one to accept the will of the people, so what do you do? You file suit to have the winner disqualified.
