Those Evil Republican Indianapolis Colts
I always suspected that the supporters of the Colts were Republican, for only people so evil so as to be Republican could support the equally evil Irsay family, which ripped the hearts of out of fans of the Baltimore Colts over twenty five years ago. A new Public Policy Polling survey found that there is a noticeable partisan divide over support for the Colts or Saints in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Does Castle Want Our Seniors to Die?
Wisconsin GOP Representative Paul Ryan is drafting the GOP Budget proposal. So far we have learned he plans to privatize both Social Security and Medicare in order to cut spending in the proposal, because we all know that the GOP can never cut defense spending and/or raise taxes. Ever. So we are going to find out pretty soon just how much of a lemming Mike Castle really is.
The Sand Castle
I am not one to regularly criticize exaggeration, overstatements and hyperbole, because I often engage in it myself as a literary device. But with Celia Cohen, her articles are, to steal from Vice President Biden, a noun, a verb, and a ridiculous overstatement or comparison.
Pro Life Terrorist Convicted
The jury deliberated for just 37 minutes before finding Scott Roeder of Kansas City, Mo., guilty of premeditated, first-degree murder in the May 31 shooting death of Dr. George Tiller.
Five Flip Flops: Castle Now Says Stimulus Not Enough, is for Job Creation after he voted against it
Mike Castle is and was against stimulus spending. But he happily takes credit for stimulus projects, and indeed demands more funds for rail projects in Delaware and the Northeast. Mike Castle votes against a jobs bill, but then complains that we aren’t doing enough to create jobs.
The Markell Budget (Updated)
Governor Markell has unveiled his FY2011 Budget proposal, which will seek to eliminate a $254 budget deficit with $143.6 million in spending cuts and cost savers, $59.8 million in additional federal funds, $39.7 million in anticipated table game revenues and $10.6 million that is extra money in the Rainy Day Fund. Ginger Gibson of the […]
Coons is Running for Senate
We have it from several sources that New Castle County Executive Christopher Coons announced at a State of the Union watch party last night that he is indeed running for Senate against Castle. Now, in order of preference, Coons is my third choice after Biden and Denn. But at least he is a credible Democrat […]
Markell is Beloved
Fifty-seven percent (57%) approve of the job Democratic Governor Jack Markell is doing, with 15% who strongly approve. Thirty-six percent (36%) disapprove, including 12% who strongly disapprove. These numbers are basically unchanged from October.
January Cattle Call
The Calendar tells me that it is 2010. But the real important date is July 30, 2010. That is the filing deadline. And until then we really will not know officially who is running for what when. But let’s play our game anyway. The game is rampant and unsourced speculation.
The 2010 62 District Strategy
The 62 District Strategy was a success in 2008, resulting in Democrats taking back the House and increasing their majority in the Senate. In 2004 in the Senate, we did not challenge Charlie Copeland or Liane Sorenson for their reelections. In 2006, we left Dori Connor coast to reelection without an opponent. In 2008, we […]
The Brown Campaign is Over.
So, besides their racist hatred of our nation’s first black President, the supposed freedom loving Teabaggers got their start in opposition to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the bailouts of both the banks, AIG and the auto industry. They screamed “stop the bailouts!” They screamed that it was their money. A new moment […]
Pat Robertson: Haiti Deserved It.
What is with Pat Robertson and always saying victims deserved their tragedies. Whether it be hurricanes, terrorist attacks like 9/11 or earthquakes, the victims are somehow the perpetrator, according to the oh so Christian Pat Robertson.
