What are Republicans Supposed to be Angry About Today? – Feb 22, 2021
The marching orders have been officially handed down.
Today, my dear Republican idiots and assholes, you are supposed to pretend that Joe Biden called all police and all active duty and retired members of the armed forces demented white supremacists.
Pretend hard, my dunce hat wearing cherubs. Pretend your fat white asses off and get angry as possible. When you think you are angry enough…DOUBLE IT! The Last Guy is depending on you.

This Cancun thing is sticking to Ted Cruz because everyone knows he is a huge asshole.
Resign Ted!
The Houston Chronicle, one of the largest papers in the state, called for Cruz to resign over the fiasco. “Take our advice, senator, and resign,” the editorial board wrote. “Seems like you could use a break and we could, too, from an ineffective politician who, even in crisis, puts his personal itinerary before the needs of Texans.”
The two dumbest Boomer arguments for not doing student loan relief
1) I worked my way through college.
2) You’ll help people who are _______ (too lazy/too rich/too brown skinned/etc).
Democrats have Republicans wrong-footed on this and so many issues. It is sickening to know that they will not press their advantage.
The battle for the [bloated, disease ridden] heart of American conservatism
What does it mean to be a conservative? Does it mean putting a premium on small government & personal responsibility as a few DC-based op-ed writers tend to understand it? Or does it mean what 99% of conservatives think it means – being a hate-filled racist who only wants to fuck shit up?
As a proponent of conservatism in America, Limbaugh was a failure who in his later years abandoned the project of advancing a positive agenda, culminating in his alignment with the vulgar style and populist anti-leftism of Donald Trump. Character no longer mattered. Budget deficits no longer mattered. Free trade no longer mattered. Nepotism no longer mattered. Lavishing praise on foreign dictators no longer mattered.
All that mattered was owning the libs in the culture war, in part to avenge a deeply felt sense of aggrievement. Limbaugh and Trump were alike in attaining great wealth and political influence while still talking and seeming to feel as though society was stacked against guys like them.
The last guy
My life has been objectively better since last guy stopped dominating the headlines. I’m enjoying taking part in the new national pastime – ignoring that loser. And yet part of me is thrilled to see that the GOP is still committed to this DEEPLY unpopular candidate.
Charlie Carretti, a retiree in Honesdale who used to work in publishing, said, “The guy did a great job as president, and Democrats just don’t want to give that to him.” He called the impeachment case “a joke, a charade and a waste of time” that was designed by Democrats “only to hurt the guy.”
Carretti, 70, said that he hopes (redacted) runs again in 2024 and that (redacted), as his impeachment defense lawyers argued, was devoid of responsibility for the violent Capitol mob.
Own the Libs!
I haven’t been following this Cuomo thing. A mean, bad guy, corrupt? I guess we’ll find out.
But whatever happens, getting rid of corrupt politicians whether they are D’s or R’s is what is supposed to happen.
Republicans seem to think that getting rid of corrupt D’s is somehow owning libs.

Bethany Hall Long Announces Bid for Delaware Governor
I don’t really care what happened to Columbus statue. The real question is when is the centerpiece statue of the Aubrey Plaza Plaza being dedicated?
Whatever happened to those Columbus and Caesar Rodney statues taken down in Wilmington?

I can’t wait for Coons to make a big, showy public break with Biden [over something beloved bit of DC insider nonsense] in order to prove to DC that he truly is the bipartisan hero. It is inevitable.

The Stockholm Syndrome Party:
During a press conference with House managers after Trump’s second impeachment trial, Nancy Pelosi said: “I think our country needs a strong Republican party. It’s very important.”
When was the last time you heard a Republicans say that the country needs a strong Democratic Party? Bottom Line: The Democratic Party leadership is comprised of very wealthy people who do not trust the instincts of Americans who are not rich. Yes – I’m looking at you, Coons.
I have zero faith in Dover passing any kind of legalization that doesn’t: A) Suck, and B) Further enrich some cabal of insiders.
Bill to legalize marijuana in Delaware to be filed soon – Delaware State News
Gov. John Carney has consistently opposed legalization, with a spokesman last week declining to speculate what the governor would do if the bill reaches his desk.
These “Republicans fractured” stories are nice, but a little far fetched. They’ll do whatever the fuck Trump tells them to do. Change my mind. Also, is it news to anyone that Republicans are a bunch of racist assholes? Certainly that is not news to republicans.

Senate Decided Not to Call Trump Impeachment Witnesses Because ‘People Want to Get Home for Valentine’s Day’: Report Senate Democrats had, despite their collective vote to hear witnesses, not actually wanted to do anything of the sort and quickly rushed to undo the motion at the request of President Joe Biden‘s leading man in the […]
Contentious Dems Vs Contented Dems
I understand that some people don’t like confrontation. But to be so devoted to non-confrontation that you prefer humiliation at the hands of scoundrels is beyond me.
