Highlands Bunker Podcast Episode 71 – The Great Uprising (w/Peter Levy, Yasser Payne)

I know I tend to gush, but this is simply great citizen journalism.  Subscribe, contribute and short of that, at least listen and reflect.
Professor/Author Peter B Levy and Professor Yasser Payne join Rob in the virtual bunker to talk about the latest protests in the relation to the 1960s uprisings: what has changed, what has stayed the same, and where do we go from here? Show Notes:

Pete Schwartzkopf Must Resign as Speaker

Pete Schwartzkopf has politicized Delaware's police and elevated them to a branch of government, co-equal to the legislature. NOBODY ever FUCKING VOTED FOR THIS! News Journal yesterday: But the top-ranking Democrat, who voiced support for the Black Caucus’ proposed reforms at a Wednesday press conference, warned during the interview that proposed regulations such as body cameras aren’t going to become laws without police approval. “A legislator writing a policy is not going to get the approval of the law enforcement officers, I’m going to tell you that right now,” Schwartzkopf said. Pete Schwartzkopf must resign and ALL Democrats MUST renounce this utter bullshit. All street actions should now include demands for Pete Schwartzkopf's removal.

Joe Biden’s Philadelphia Speech – Full Transcript

I am persuaded that Democrats picked the right person to defeat Donald Trump.
...We can’t be naive about it. I wish I could say that hate began with Donald Trump and will end with him. It didn’t, and it won’t. American history isn’t a fairy tale with a guaranteed happy ending. The battle for the soul of this nation has been a constant push and pull for more than 240 years, a tug of war between the American ideal that we’re all created equal, and the harsh reality that racism has long torn us apart.

Leaked Stonewall Endorsement Questionnaire Puts Pressure on Republicans to Come Clean

This in via the tip line:
7. While Delaware Stonewall PAC is non-partisan and is willing to endorse and fund candidates of any party, or no party at all, we are very cognizant of the fact that the presidency of Donald Trump has rolled back many of the rights of our community and, if re- elected, he will likely continue to do so and appoint federal judges who may very well overturn precedent that have recognized the rights of our community. How you vote is a private matter, however, will you pledge to not support the re-election of President Trump and not support candidates for office whose platforms are opposed to LGBTQ rights?(emphasis added)
It is a little squishy for me, but it is something. If this goes unanswered by the lying GOP scumbags like Mike Ramone and Anthony Delcollo, then I would think it would be impossible for Stonewall the repeat the endorsement mistakes they made in 2016.
