Ernesto Lopez is going to find it hard to be on both sides of this issue. His bullshit response to HB163 is not going unnoticed.
Really? You can't bring yourself to support an assault weapons ban such as HB163? Assault weapons are made to mow down people and armies in a war zone. They can shoot innumerable bullets per minute and penetrate cars and most residential building material. I suppose you have friends and neighbors who go hunting with an AK47 or an AR15, or perhaps they need these weapons to protect their families from "well organized" armies of intruders? What state or country do you live in?

When Carper continued his track record of not standing up for the people when push came to shove—when it comes to saying no to the Keystone Pipeline, or whether it’s voting in favor of pharmaceutical companies and financial institutions against the best interests of his constituents—there’s a problem. There’s a lot of damage to be done when we have Democrats who are in who don’t stand their ground when it’s time to stand up for people. What use is your power if it’s not used to stand up for the people?

Eight years ago Delaware Liberal, at the time a broadsheet hand scribed on 24lb premium linen paper, admonished Thurman Adams to "Die or get off the pot!" Adams, never one to get off the pot, later died. That's how powerful the broadsheet was back before Twitter. A few years later, this blog's dogged reporting and rapier wit caused Mike Castle to quit politics. Now we are engaged in getting rid of Tom Carper. If history is any guide, Carper is done.

Just sayin' With all the hurly-burley, the country has lost track of the fact that Trump first obscured his criminal activity (money laundering) by keeping his taxes secret.  If Coons and Carper want to look like super bipartisan, can't they get a couple of their buds to co-sponsor legislation that REQUIRES candidates for the office of President of the United States to disclose their tax information?

Conservative blogger Erik Erickson is reporting that during his trip to Washington, D.C., he met up with an as-of-yet-unnamed Republican congressman, one who has publicly been very supportive of Donald Trump, and during their clandestine walk through the aisles of a grocery store outside of D.C.
