The Illinois version of Tom Carper may well lose his primary

Representative Dan Lipinski is a House version of Tom Carper. His voting record is pro-Trump (like Carper's) in a district that is solidly Democratic (like Carper's). Betting markets currently have him as the underdog. I hope that holds.
Rep. Dan Lipinski, a conservative-leaning Democrat unaccustomed to close elections, came to make his pitch at the St. Patrick's Day party for seniors just as the retirees finished their corned beef and cabbage. Before the seniors got to their dessert, the veteran lawmaker facing a liberal insurgency brewing in his party touted his commitment to bringing federal dollars to the district.

Carper/Coons Attempt to Nix Dodd-Frank May Die in the House

"Die" is perhaps not the right term. "Turned into an unpassable shitmess that gives even more to the banks" is closer. That's right. Carper's plan to allow 25 of the nation's 38 biggest banks return to the casino with deposits and have their gambling losses underwritten by you, while allowing lenders to racially discriminate when writing mortgages doesn't go FAR ENOUGH for House GOPers.

Dem Voters Continue to Regard Fighting Trump’s GOP as a National Emergency

I don't know why Tom Carper and Chris Coons don't get it. Where is the urgency? Trump is just another President for Carper to cut deals with on behalf of banks. Coons is just AWOL. Fortunately Democratic voters have a sense of urgency. They are turning out in droves to oppose Trump's GOP. Cynics will say that Connor Lamb was a conservative, and that Democrats didn't really gain much, but that misses the point. It mistakes the movement of the clock's minute hand for the whirling internal mechanism that moved it.

Trump F*cked Stormy Daniels: A Timeline

January 2005 Trump marries Slovenian-born model Melania Knauss in West Palm Beach, FL, in a lavish $1 million reception at his Mar-a-Lago estate. March 2006 Melania Trump gives birth to son Barron in NYC on March 20. “I continue to stay young, right?” Trump boasts 20 minutes after the delivery. “I produce children, I stay young.”

Is Trump trying to bait Biden into running?

It probably give the Manchurian Pumpkin too much credit for thinking strategically, but he seems to be spoiling for a fight (electoral or fisticuffs) with Joe Biden.
Separately, Trump referenced former Vice President Joe Biden’s line during the 2016 campaign that “I wish we were in high school, I could take him behind the gym.” Biden made the remark following the release of footage from a taping of NBC’s “Access Hollywood” in which Trump said he kissed and groped women without their consent. “There’s talk about Joe Biden, Sleepy Joe, getting into the race,” Trump said. “You know what he said, ‘I want to take him behind the barn.’” “Just trust me, I would kick his ass,” the President, 71, said of Biden, 75. “Boy, would he be easy,” Trump added. “Oh, would he be easy.”
I've always heard (but never fact checked) that Biden got a boost to his first Senate run by challenging Evans to a fistfight. These schoolyard taunts might be mutually arousing for these guys who think of themselves as alpha monkeys, but is it any way to run a country?
