Palin Bows Before Rush
Sometimes, every once in a while, Sarah Palin will do something that I agree with. Usually it has to do with defending her family. I thought she was right to defend her daughter after Letterman’s failed joke. I also thought she was right to criticize Rahm Emmanuel for calling liberal “retarded.” It isn’t a nice […]
Weekend Open Thread
This is a trapped-inside-the-house-please-halp version of your weekend open thread. Anything else going on besides snow and snow removal? The 10 strangest pieces of unclaimed luggage: 1. Hoggle from Labyrinth. Unlike other items at the Unclaimed Baggage Center, Hoggle is not for sale. He is now a permanent part of the Unclaimed Baggage Center Museum. […]
Things Are Tough All Over
Michael Steele and Harold Ford have a tour where they go around debating each other (don’t ask me why). During one of these appearances Michael Steele reflected on the plight of the common man: The two often traded jokes, especially when Steele panned President Barack Obama’s long-stated plan to let income tax rates return to […]
Tea Party Racism
Former Republican presidential candidate and Congressman Tom Tancredo opened the Tea Party Nation convention. In his speech he said the U.S. had elected a “committed socialist ideologue” because “we do not have a civics, literacy test before people can vote in this country.”
Pre-Snowgasm Open Thread
Well, it’s Friday and we’re all watching the skies waiting for the snow to start. I’m ready to dash out of here the minutes I start seeing snow flakes. I hope you all have bought your bread, milk and eggs so that you can make French toast during the storm – apparently that’s really important. So let’s open this thread.
I Didn’t Elect President Shelby
WTF!?!? Is Senator Richard Shelby out to prove that the Senate is completely dysfunctional and that Republicans are full of sh*t? Sen. Shelby has placed a blanket hold on ALL of Obama’s nominations: Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) has put an extraordinary “blanket hold” on at least 70 nominations President Obama has sent to the Senate, […]
O’Reilly Runs Away From His Base
The Research 2000 poll commissioned by Daily Kos has a lot of Republicans worried. Republican leaders know that the extremism of the Republican base will turn voters off so that’s why so many Republican leaders have tried to dismiss the poll. Witness Bill O’Reilly and Karl Rove: As David Anderson confirmed right here on Delaware […]
Democrats Introduce Bill To Repeal Health Insurance Anti-Trust Exemption
Two House Democrats are introducing legislation to repeal the anti-trust exemption of health insurance companies. More like this, please.
Thursday Open Thread
It’s Thursday and it’s the day after the Delaware Tweet-Up. I liked the opportunity to meet some of our readers and I hope some of my Twitter friends will read the blog. Let’s open this thread!
Who Is Afraid Of Demon Sheep?
Carly Fiorina, ex-CEO of Hewlett Packard and McCain surrogate, is running for U.S. Senate from California. Apparently the Republican primary is turning into a real knock-down, drag-out fight and Fiorina is facing a challenge from at least two Republicans running from her right. So, Fiorina just released a web ad critical of one of her primary opponents.
Did Biden Screw Over Democrats In The Senate Race?
Asked on MSNBC whether Beau had bowed out of a Senate campaign because the political terrain was just too unfavorable for Democrats, the vice president said that’s not how things went down: “He basically made that decision at Thanksgiving. It’s a question of how it got rolled out.”
Wednesday Open Thread
What’s happening tonight? I’m going to Kildare’s Pub in Newark for the 3rd Delaware Tweetup. It’s an opportunity to meet all those people you send your 140-character thoughts to in 3-D! I hope to see you there tonight.
Two-Faced John McCain

McCain’s duplicity is so obvious that even the mainstream media noticed the disconnect and left McCain’s spokeswoman scrambling for an explanation.
