Delaware Political Weekly: March 8-14, 2014
Rep. Daryll Scott has designated his preferred successor. He's Sean Lynn, a Dover City Councilman. Looks like he'd be a worthy successor to Scott, and the district is solidly blue. Of course, we don't know if there will be any primary challengers, and we never know how someone will ultimately perform once in office.
I, for one, can only hope that Rep. Scott is not done with public service. He's among the best progressives in the Delaware General Assembly.
Poll Results for Senate President Pro Tem Patti Blevins
Like Speaker Schwartzkopf, Senator Blevins enjoys a very good approval rating in our nonrandom, nonscientific internet poll. Two-thirds (66%) approve of her job performance, and among those approving, 73% do so strongly. Senator Blevins' disapproval rate is 21%. 12% are just meh.
Forget the Sixers, watch the Blue Hens
I think I’ll just watch a replay of the Blue Hens victory instead of the next Sixers game. Thrilling always trumps tanking.

Greater Potential For Democratic/Liberal Domination in Delaware
A cursory look at the voting numbers in Delaware suggest plenty of room for growth for the DelDem party and the liberal movement. But, if they got their act together again, Republicans are not out of the picture. It is a function of who mobilizes to capitalize on this opportunity.
