Time to Stop the Vultures
Yesterday, El Som had a post about pending legislation, including HB 289, which would put restrictions on payday lenders. It seems as though there is some push back from Democratic leaders who want nothing to do with this important and consumer-friendly legislation. As El Som wrote: Helene Keeley’s payday loans bill, HB 289, is on […]
DL Tracking Poll Results — Tom Gordon (D)
Disgraced Former New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon is thinking about taking another run at his old office. It makes sense. Paul Clark is disliked and Bill Shahan is still an unknown at this point in the race. Gordon probably figures he has the name rec to take down Clark. He also probably figures some longing for when times were good in the county during his terms as Exec will redeem him in the eyes of the voters. And our poll results will give him some encouragement that such a redemption is very possible.

Can Newt Gingrich Win Delaware?

DL Tracking Poll Results — James Van Houten (R) (Round 2)
Last month, 53% of our readers disapproved of Republican Insurance Commissioner candidate james Van Houten, disapproval rating, and 24% were undecided. This month, not much has changed. Van Houten’s unfavorable rating has dropped to 47%, and his favorability rating has increased one point, to 25% from 24%. Somehow, people became more undecided about him, which I suppose is a good thing for the Van Houten campaign. Better to be unknown than disliked.
