DL Tracking Poll Results — Treasurer Chip Flowers (D) (Round 2)
Last month Chip Flowers had a 47% approval rating and a 39% disapprove rating. 14% were undecided or are unsure. This month, he improves his standing to 54% approval, and a 37% disapproval rating.
Tomorrow’s Leaders
If you have some time tomorrow or Saturday, stop by Leg Hall to witness some of our future leaders in action. The 2012 Session of the Delaware YMCA’s Youth in Government Model Legislature will kick-off at 9:00 AM, but the real action doesn’t begin until 1:00 PM, when the delegates start debating the bills they have authored. No subject is taboo for these students. In the past, they have debated marijuana legalization, marriage equality, and even a clothing optional beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. The great thing about this program is that there are no Democrats or Republicans – just middle and high school students debating bills that they wrote on subjects of interest to them.

Katniss Everdeen Is No Bella Swan
Before I get into this allow me to tell everyone what I tell my kids – The book is always better than the movie! That said, I am thrilled with Katniss Everdeen! Katniss is a strong, consistent in her actions, smart hero. You can’t help but root for her. And go ahead and cheer, because Katniss Everdeen won’t let you down. There is no damsel in distress moment, no need to be rescued for stupid, reckless behavior. Not one.

Last month, John Carney had a 56% approval rating and a 32% disapproval. Those were approval numbers that any politician would have happy with. This month, the results are much more mixed. Carney has a 46% approval rating and a 44% disapproval rating.
