Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results — Ben Mobley (R)

Who is Ben Mobley? All we know is what is posted on his campaign website. There is a video interview of him that Charlie Copeland conducted, located here, if you want to learn more about another rather anonymous candidate the Republican Party has chosen to run for office. Since he is rather anonymous, his poll ratings reflect that. 42% of the respondents are undecided or unsure when asked if they have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of him. 34% have an unfavorable opinion of him, probably because he is a Republican, though that number is lower than the other anonymous Republicans we have polled. And he has a higher approval rating than the others too: 24%.

Wilmington City Council vs. Newark Charter School

Anyone else get the feeling that education in Delaware is about to explode? Personally, I'd like to slow the entire Charter (and Choice) train down. I can't keep up, and can't shake the feeling that these Charters and our legislators are privy to information that the rest of read only after the deal is done. Basically, I'm not supposed to keep up or catch up. Meanwhile, things are moving forward in City government.

Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results — Sher Valenzuela

Not many people voted in this poll, probably because they are confused as to why misspelled Cher's name. Obviously, Sher Valenzuela, the Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, has work to do in the name recognition department. 42% are unsure or undecided. 32% gave her a strongly unfavorable rating, and overall, she has a 48% unfavorable rating, which has to be just the generic unfavorable rating the Republican Party enjoys in the State of Delaware. Boy, you guys really destroyed your party and brand in the First State.

Adventures in Subscribing to the Digital News Journal

So the NJ has put up their paywall, and you are limited to 5 articles (per week? per month?) and they helpfully count down the number of free articles you have left in a box in the lower right hand of your screen every time you click on a new article. I waited until the paywall finally went into effect to sign up (for the record, I actually buy this paper every day I am in town) and preserve my access to online articles. I've tried subscribing twice online and finally called today to figure out why I still can't get the NJ online.

Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results — Jeff Cragg

You people are harsh. Jeff Cragg is still basically unknown to almost all of Delaware, including the politically knowledgeable that read DL. All we know about him is that he is a businessman who is a conservative Republican. And that was enough to give him 48% disapproval rating. 24% just don't know enough about him to make any judgments. 28% approve of him. As an aside, Mr. Cragg bears a striking resemblance to myself, so much so that I feel compelled to declare that I am not Jeff Cragg and I am not running for Governor as a Republican.
