Once More With Hypocrisy
“It’s politics of personal destruction aimed at our own and it’s got to stop. Right now a lawn gnome could beat Obama in 2012, so, yes, we can be picky, but not nasty or malicious. If we don’t stop the Republican cannibalism we’re simply turning this election over to the Democrats, who certainly don’t deserve it.” — Christine O’Donnell.
This quote is so full of irony and hypocrisy I don’t even know where to start.
Multi-Millionaire Heiress Michele Rollins: Deadbeat Grandma?
Last week, we received a tip from an Alabama legal and political blog called the Legal Schnauzer. It seems they have been following the divorce of Ted Rollins from his wife. Ted Rollins is the son of the late John Rollins and step son of Michele. Ted Rollins has manipulated the legal system and misrepresented his considerable assets so as to lower his child support and alimony payments as much as possible, so low in fact, that Michele Rollins’ grandchildren are on food stamps.
City of Wilmington Mayoral Cattle Call — Fall 2011 Edition
April 2010 was the last time we did this cattle call and there’s been alot of movement in this list since then to report on. Or, at least, there has been strong rumor of a big change to the who’sin-who’s out churn that has been going on the past year and so obsessing folks in Wilmington this weekend to revisit this list:

Georgetown Elementrary Needs Sweatpants.
“Our nurse is in desperate need of sweatpants in sizes 5 – 6, 7- 8, 10 -12 in unisex colors. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as our needs continue to grow at Georgetown Elementary.”
Markell Issues Executive Order on FOIA Requests
Governor Markell signed an executive order today that marks a step forward to a more open and transparent state government. He also signed legislation creating a universal FOIA form.
Reflections On Occupy Delaware
On Saturday I attended the first ever Occupy Delaware rally at Rodney Square in Wilmington.
Bodie and the Sheriff Shoot Themselves in the Foot
It seems as though there are a few Republicans down here in Sussex that are not towing the teabagger line. I know, it’s hard to believe but it’s true. At last night’s GOP Executive Committee meeting, Eric “St. Bodie Girl” Bodenweiser brought forth his resolution to support Sheriff Jeff Christopher’s request for “more training” for his deputies. The resolution was soundly defeated.
