Chip Flowers Fumbles the Implementation of his “Economic” Program

Over the weekend, you may have noticed that a discussion started in the Friday Open Thread comments about how State Treasurer Chip Flowers' first attempt to expand the duties of his office has run into something of a brick wall. If you look at the comments there, you'll note that the Flowers' Fan Club is out in force again, and they are hanging their defense of Chip Flowers on arguments that rely alot on conspiracy theories and not much on the facts on the ground.

Just Wondering…

This weekend phone books were dropped off at my door. Does anyone under 60 still use those big, bulky books? I hate the idea of just dumping them into the recycling bin... any other ideas?

General Assembly Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Thurs., Apr. 14, 2011

The Senate passed SB 41 (Hall-Long), which would increase members of the New Castle County Board of Adjustment from 7 to 13 to reflect the number of councilmanic districts, and to require that each district have a member. I understand the intent of the bill. However, is it really in the public's interest to have a Board of Adjustment that mirrors this less-than-august body?
