My Letter to the Editor in Response to Matt Albright’s Dumb Bullshit
In a recent editorial Engagement Editor, Matthew Albright, claimed that he “can’t wait to vote against Trump.” He claims to be “no fan of President Donald Trump” and offers the Trump administration’s dismantling of environmental regulations to illustrate why voters should vote against Trump. And yet Albright is willing to pass up a great opportunity […]
Ken Simpler is One Creepy Dude
Just look at that creepy smirky picture that he uses AS HIS OFFICIAL PICTURE. What a creep. Also, read his…“I’m not one of THOSE Republicans” editorial. Notice how he tries to make that case while creepily never disclosing his party affiliation? He creepily wants it both ways. “I’m not THAT type of Republicans”…“Yes, I am.” […]
Fistfight?
In a “fistfight” between a 60 year old journalist and a 15-18 person special forces assasination squad, you have to take the 15-18 person special forces assasination squad regardless of the betting line.
The News Journal’s Scott Goss Breaks His Back Carrying Water for Lavelle
Unable to defend himself, Lavelle fed the News Journal this red-herring story.
Two of Gov. John Carney’s appointees are coming under fire for using a series of political action committees to successfully help unseat a Democratic state legislator.
The tip off that this is all about Lavelle trying to muddy the water around his own criminal activity comes at the very bottom of the story when Lavelle denies that this has anything to do with his illegal PAC coordination:
Lavelle’s complaint is somewhat unusual in that it comes from a high-ranking Republican and accuses two prominent Democrats of working to defeat another Democrat.
It also comes just days after the Delaware Democratic Party filed a complaint with the Delaware Elections Department accusing Lavelle and state Treasurer Ken Simpler of illegally coordinating with PACs supporting their respective campaigns
Delaware Stonewall is a bunch of bullshit
In spite of everything we now know about Ramone, Peter Schott has not retracted his endorsement. Fuck that fraud.
And Mitch Crane…? The Stonewall apologist has contracted a bad case of situational ethics. Now he is going around claiming that the Delaware Stonewall endorsement is based on the single issue focus of the cabal. But look what he had to say back in 2016 when some people were saying that a gay-friendly James Spadola might be a good option for Democrats:
NCC Dem Chair Rips Into Mike Ramone’s Criminal Ass
Take note. This is what Democrats sound like:
“The primary documents at the center of this story paint an undeniably troubling picture,” Woodside said. “An elected official with a sizable financial stake in a struggling startup votes for legislation that leads to a cash infusion for the company, and a few months later, happens to be the prime beneficiary of an $8 million stock sale. The entire situation doesn’t pass the smell test.
“If it’s as it seems, this is the kind of behavior that fosters economic inequality in America, where most Americans play by one set of rules, while the Mike Ramones of the world literally make up the rules as they go,” Woodside said. “Bear in mind that this is the same lawmaker who argued on the House floor for a legal exception to paying lifeguards at his pool company the minimum wage, and whose actions appear to have caused his opponent – a single mom – to be fired from her job while threatening the state funding of the local non-profit she managed.”
Oct. 19 Open Thread: Can I Still Get a Saudi Assassin Costume for Halloween?
It’s well documented that more people respond to stories of one person’s misfortune than to stories about mass suffering; that’s why those late-night TV ads talk about a single starving child rather than millions. Maybe that explains why, after decades of running one of the planet’s most repressive dictatorships, Saudi Arabia is now finally feeling […]
Vote Angry
Vote for the 90,000 voters in Nevada that have been removed from the voting rolls in a scheme that is clearly orchestrated to target poor and minority voters. Vote for the 50,000 voters in Georgia who have had their voter registration applications to “on hold.” Vote for the more than 2,000 potential voters in Texas […]
Oct. 18 Open Thread: The Ghost of James Bayard
Esquire’s Charles Pierce connects the dots from Jamal Khashoggi’s murder by the Saudis to the Constitution’s emoluments clause, and does so with the help of a quote from storied Delaware statesman James A. Bayard, who explained the need for the clause clearly and succinctly during the Constitutional Convention: If presents were allowed to be received […]

Oct. 17 Open Thread: Horseface Pushes McTurtle Out of Headlines
Yesterday’s news cycle was dominated by Trump inaccurately calling Stormy Daniels “horseface,” an insult that simply doesn’t fit her. This was seen as an attempt to distract from Trump’s murderous Saudi buddies, but both stories actually worked to hide the outrage of the day, Mitch McConnell’s declaration that the soaring federal deficit means we must […]
Oct. 16 Open Thread: Oh, Wait, Yeah, Right…You Mean That Journalist
The Saudis aren’t the fastest liars on the planet, that’s for sure. It took them a week to come around to “he died under questioning by rogue elements,” which ranks with only a dog eating homework and a grandmother’s funeral in the Pantheon of Lame Excuses. Turkey found more evidence of Jamal Khashoggi’s death, so […]
Simpler and Lavelle: Cheaters
To be a modern Republican you have to be willing to cheat. Simpler and Lavelle fit the bill. Delaware Democrats are accusing two prominent Republicans of skirting state campaign finance rules just weeks before voters head to the polls. The Delaware Democratic Party on Monday filed an official complaint with the state election office that […]
