If it is accurate to say that pretending to be on the side of the coal miner and steel worker, while leveraging white racism is the GOP’s response to working poor/ blue-collar economic anxiety and declining prospects, what is the Democratic Party’s response to working poor/ blue-collar economic anxiety and declining prospects? I’m seriously asking – what is it? And I think the answer from Dems might be - "We don't need steel workers. We can retrain them to be computer programmers."
