Ginni Thomas Acted As John Eastman’s Cheerleader: The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol has obtained email correspondence between Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and lawyer John Eastman, who played a key role in efforts to pressure Vice President Mike Pence to block the […]

Song of the Day 6/15: Black Sabbath, “Guilty as Hell”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on June 15, 2022 2 Comments

As Jason330 noted, we all knew what’s being shown by the Jan. 6 committee. And that includes everybody who tried to pull it off. Still, there seems to be some grudging acknowledgement from the punditry that the exercise is doing some good, just days after the consensus was that it was doing no good. So […]

Shorter Coons: “Bipartisan, common sense compromise is the best way to maintain the rapidly deteriorating status quo”

I’ve been reading his tweets, and listening to Coons talk about guns and the headline above is my official summary of his position.

REV & Bill cover the McGuiness trial so you don’t have to

Filed in National by on June 15, 2022 16 Comments

You know, it is funny. It’s ha ha funny. And yet, Kathy being SO transparently corrupt, having committed crimes so casually and publicly, if she skates because the AG screwed up, or because she is mobbed up with our corrupt piece of shit Speaker of the House, it really says some dire things about our state government.

After a false start in Wilmington, the Kathy McGuiness Trial has resumed in Dover. Join us through a Thompson-esque journey through employee categorization, document management, and the ol Steve Wood razzle dazzle.

General Assembly Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Weds., June 15, 2022

Kids, the term ‘gun safety’ only applies to the Kop Kabal package of bills in the sense that it’s used for PR purposes.  If the bills that passed there yesterday become law, medical marijuana users too can possess weapons of mass destruction, the cops have complete control over criminal background checks, and there are so […]

For me, the odd thing about the Jan 6th investigation are all of the “OMG!” revelations of stuff we all saw happen with our own eyes.  Trump loudly and publicly said that he wasn’t going to honor the results if he lost and loudly and publicly didn’t. It’s as if we all watched a toddler […]

Delaware General Assembly Pre-Game Show: Tuesday, June 14, 2022

What bills will the Kop Kabal allow to be considered this week?  That, after all, is how business is conducted in the House.  Don’t forget it. Act on it. Well, let’s look at today’s House Agenda. Want to know what the quintessential ‘bipartisan’ Delaware Way bill is this session?  It’s HB 276 (Bennett), which leads […]

Trump clearly and irrefutably tried to seize power through a coup.  We can have our political differences, but if you don’t regard that as a problem – you are not an American. What’s gotten into Republicans?  The periodic peaceful transfer of power has been the keystone of the Republic since George Washington.  All of us […]

Song of the Day 6/13: Inner Circle, “Bad Boys”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on June 13, 2022 1 Comment

This should be the theme music for the Jan. 6 Congressional hearings when they resume tonight. Hey, it worked for “Cops,” which has resumed production for Fox Nation after Paramount dropped it in the wake of the George Floyd murder in Minneapolis. Inner Circle, the Jamaican band that first recorded the song in 1987, was […]

21 Reasons Why The Kop Kabal Must Go

Filed in Delaware, Featured by on June 13, 2022 2 Comments

Since they took power back in 2010, the Kop Kabal has routinely buried hundreds of progressive bills, sometimes at the behest of Governor Markell and Governor Carney, and most of the time because they either don’t like the sponsor and/or they are not progressive in the least.    Keep in mind, since the Speaker names the […]

White Lawlessness Comes to Coer d’Alene

Filed in National by on June 13, 2022 2 Comments

The White Community and White Leadership have been largely silent on recent arrests of 31 members of a white group planning to riot at a gay pride event.

From mass school shootings, to price gouging by white owned energy companies, to election nullification, to planned riots, we’ve clearly got a white people problem in America.  Until the white leadership steps up to address rampant white lawlessness, it is hard to see how the country can move forward.

When you read this CNN headline, who do you imagine the “Senator” mentioned is?

Senator reveals how bipartisan group reached gun legislation proposal

If you guessed Coons, you are right. If you want to listen to Coons wax eloquent for 8 minutes about the greatness of glorious bipartisanship, go for it. I tapped out at the 6 minute mark.

In the meantime, I have my doubts about anything coming from this.  Apparently I’m not the only one with doubts:

@ChrisMurphyCT
10/ Drafting this law and passing it through both chambers will not be easy. We have a long way before this gets to the President’s desk. But with your help and activism, we can get this done. This time, failure cannot be an option.

Wait, what?  “…your help and activism” ?   Clap harder ya’ll.  The glorious bipartisan compromise, like tinker bell, needs you. Outside activism is required for the glorious bipartisan compromise among 20 senators to become fully agreed text and pass the senate.

Song of the Day 6/12: The Flaming Lips, “Waitin’ for a Superman”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on June 12, 2022 0 Comments

Metropolis, the fictional city where Superman fights for truth, justice and a better tomorrow, has always presented DC Comics with a problem in truthiness — where exactly is it? A lot of people, the News Journal reminded its remaining readers this week, place it in Delaware, right across Delaware Bay from Gotham City (I’d link […]
