Filed in National by on December 9, 2020 4 Comments

This is bad. 73% of Trump voters claim he won the election, and 66% do not want him to concede, ever. And if Trump were to leave the GOP, 72% would leave with him. 81% say they will not give Biden a chance.

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on December 9, 2020 5 Comments

Phillies great Dick Allen, one of the most controversial players in the history of baseball, died Monday, prompting a wave of nostalgia for a man Philadelphia fans demonized and drove out of town during the racially charged 1960s. During his playing days, Allen’s many interests outside the game drew accusations that he lacked “focus.” So […]

Will Trump Veto Defense Appropriations Bill?  It’s heading to his desk soon as House passes it with a veto-proof majority. Stoopid Rethuglican Voter Suppression Trix.  Man, this Texas AG is dancing as fast as he can as he seeks to evade corruption charges.  Texas can’t turn blue soon enough.  Georgia legislators try to limit vote-by-mail. Decent People Are Staying Home, Republican Assholes Are Dining Out

That tipped workers make $2.00 an hour in actual pay is a crime. Maybe we can address this when the min wage is fixed? Tips are ‘way down’ in restaurants. Sexual harassment is up, a new study shows. The coronavirus has exacerbated the power imbalance between tipped servers and their customers, according to a new […]

Can Biden fix the Dems Small Town/Rural Problem?

Filed in National by on December 8, 2020 5 Comments

Ever since Bill Clinton Democrats have had nothing or small towns. It has all been “high tech abundance and the benefits of free trade will eventually get to you”. That has clearly turned out to be bullshit. Meth and joblessness, though – they arrived on schedule.

So Joe, what’s the plan? Are you going to try and put a bandaid on Clinton’s (and Obama’s) failures?

Song of the Day 12/8: John Lennon and Cheap Trick, “I’m Losing You”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on December 8, 2020 0 Comments

Whatever else it represented, the assassination of John Lennon 40 years ago tonight closed the door on an encouraging comeback from his self-imposed exile. Not everyone saw “Double Fantasy” that way at first — negative reviews from many prominent critics were withheld from publication when Lennon was killed three weeks after its release — and […]

Pfizer To Trump: ‘Want More Vaccine?’  Trump:’No.’   That supposed 300 million doses is actually gonna be somewhere around 50 mill.  Isn’t gonna stop the White House from hosting, wait for it, a Vaccine Victory Celebration.  Will any/everyone wear masks? Neither Moderna nor Pfizer will attend.  Pfizer wasn’t even part of ‘Operation Warp Speed’, instead […]

Chickeshit Coons on Morning Joe Just Now – “I’ve had a number of private conversation with Senators”

Filed in National by on December 8, 2020 0 Comments

Coons’ highest loyalty is to bipartisanship.

“I’ve had a number of private conversation with Senators whop want me to convey thier congratulations to the president elect but are not yet willing to say so publicly. Its my job to keep working with them. But I will tell you that it is a striking moment were in that President Trump still has the Republicans by the neck and is insisting that they ignore reality…

Prior to this he also said that Mcconnell is receptive to compromise on a stimulus but does want to give relief to any state government and stimulus must protect any business from liability.

How is that compromise? Only a true bipartisan like Coons can see it.

Delaware Day And Pearl Harbor Day.  Coincidence? Your thoughts. Biden Names Cali AG Xavier Becerra To Lead HHS.  I’m surprised.  Thought he might be nominated for AG.  Well, let’s see.  He has publicly supported single-payer.  He has effectively litigated on behalf of expanded access to health care.  Let’s not forget the political factors at play:  […]
