Colleen Davis Announces For Congress

Filed in Delaware, Featured by on July 19, 2023 47 Comments

I see no path to victory for her in a Democratic Primary, but she has a right to run. I more or less have a right to ignore her candidacy.  After this: Colleen Davis, state treasurer, announced Wednesday that she will run for Delaware’s at-large U.S. House of Representatives seat. “Raising three children here in […]

Top 3 Reasons Eugene Young SHOULD NOT Run for Congress This Year

For people who like Eugene Young and want to see him have a political future.

  1. The campaign was caught flat footed, which is a very bad sign
  2. The New Castle County County Job is wide open.  Take that then primary Coons.
  3. Being a two time loser is a terrible look.

Gun rights group slams Delaware State Fair ban on firearms: ‘blatant insult’

“The Delaware State Fair is now officially anti-gun,” an email blast recently sent to members of the Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association (DSSA) proclaims. The notice sounds off against a policy that prohibits patrons, vendors, exhibitors, volunteers and employees from carrying firearms at the fair from July 20-29, 2023.

The Delaware State Fair website states that “weapons of any kind or objects that appear to be weapons are prohibited and may not be brought onto the fairgrounds.”

Song of the Day 7/18: Judas Priest, “Breaking the Law”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on July 18, 2023 2 Comments

Against all odds, it seems Donald Trump is going to be indicted for his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection. I’m not sure whether he’ll be charged with being the mastermind or just a master baiter. This song, the second single from Judas Priest’s 1980 album “British Steel,” reached No. 12 on the UK singles […]

Remember back in 2016 when Democrats scared everyone into voting for Hillary Clinton because otherwise the Supreme Court would overturn Roe v Wade?   Yeah, Dems can’t feel fear in the same way Republicans can’t feel shame.   Senator Murphy: GOP will ‘100 percent’ pass national abortion ban with control of Congress Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.) […]

Dem Party primaries are good, except the ones I don’t like. They are bad.

Dem Party primaries are good, except the ones I don’t like. They are bad.

I don’t think people should get out of the way for other people.  Since the Democratic Party is the only remaining statewide party in Delaware, the primary IS the election.  So have it out.  Tell us the “democratic approach” to holding the office you want.   Get your people fired up.

Just don’t get into tearing down other candidates.  Those are the ones I don’t like.

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on July 17, 2023 1 Comment

Most of the world considers Mr. Big a one-hit wonder. The Los Angeles-based glam-metal band, active through the ’90s, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks in 1991 with an acoustic power ballad, “To Be With You.” The song also reached No. 1 in 14 other countries, notably including Japan. “To Be With You” […]

Why aren’t Delaware Democrats doing anything?  I know, Pete liked to pretend that the withered rump of the DEGOP held some power, but that was (and is) bullshit,  We’re all adults here, right.  We can handle the truth.      I need to call this out…. Delaware Democrats have a supermajority in both houses…and a […]

Saudis Bled Arizona’s Aquifers Dry? Legally?  It appears so: BUTLER VALLEY, Ariz. — A megadrought has seared Arizona, stressing its rivers and reservoirs and reducing water to a trickle in the homes of farmworkers near this desert valley. But green fields of alfalfa stretch across thousands of acres of the desert land, shimmering in the […]

Burning the Planet to Ashes is Good for the Economy

I guess we’ve come to that collective conclusion, because the opposite (Stopping the Planet from Burning to Ashes is Bad for the Economy) seems to hold sway among policy makers.    More than 100 million people in the United States are currently under excessive heat warnings and heat advisories. Record-high temperatures are forecast for this […]

20 States Join Delaware State Dipshit’s Association to try and make us have more machine guns

Filed in National by on July 16, 2023 3 Comments

These other states need to A) mind their own fucking business, and B) see that their own laws “conform with the nation’s historical tradition of firearms regulation” by sticking their  muzzle-loading long guns up their ass.   Twenty states object as Delaware pushes gun ban despite Supreme Court Bruen ruling ADelaware law banning “assault weapons” and […]
