Via Roger Ebert’s place, we learn that Google is working on a new commenting scheme for You Tube, which really has a horrific comments section. He also posts up this video speculating on how Internet Commenters Hold A Business Meeting. Funny in a cringeworthy way:

Governor Markell will be on CNN co-anchoring with Soledad O’Brien tomorrow from 7 til 9 AM. Bad omen? Please Governor, DO NOT TAKE PART IN ANY BREAKING NEWS STORIES WITH THESE PEOPLE!
He was also on CNBC last week with one of the dumbest people on TV — Maria Bartiromo — talking about how business friendly the state is:
Click here to see. Don’t think this is embeddable.
Feel free to roll your eyes at the repeat of the wingnut mantra “government does not create jobs”. Tell that to the folks at Tutor Perini who are building the new I95/SR1 interchange.
And seriously, I couldn’t think of any title that wasn’t NSFW for this hilarious video. Did I say this video is NSFW? OK then:
This was on Meet the Press today and apparently part of a longer interview that Gregory did with him that you can see on MSNBC here. It is vintage Cosby — observant and abit ascerbic (about 4 minutes long):
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
A flashmob shows up in the lobby of GE’s Boston HQ building to protest GE’s tax dodging ways. Another smart bit of protesting by the 99%:

….and their delusions about the government. This is remarkably sad to watch:

The poorest state in he US is the most conservative. A thing that is a clear outlier everywhere else in the world — where the poorest people are some of the most reliably liberal of left leaning. So how is it that the government is supposed to value families? Before St. Ronnie, government policy was all about putting its thumb on the scale for middle class families. He started the dismantlement of that policy which middle class families feel pretty clearly right now. And he replaced that policy with one that puts its thumb on the scale for America’s businesses and its wealthiest. Somehow, these reliable conservatives don’t seem to mind that other people are getting very rich at their expense. So they content themselves with feeling that they value their families or their God more than everyone else does and that is the thing that somehow makes it all better. Of course, they have to ignore alot of liberal people who value their own families and their own God and ignore the fact that alot of the needs of the poor people in that state get paid for by the liberals in Blue States who send alot of money to this poor state to cover all of the government programs they disdain.
Mississippi gets $2.73 back in benefits for each dollar they pay in taxes. A damned good deal for people who are that contemptuous of government and its services.
A few days ago, there was a press opportunity with ECB representatives, where Irish journalist Vincent Browne wanted to know specifically why the people of Ireland are being asked to live with the debt burden of a defunct bank. This is the kind of questioning many of us would like to see our own journalists perform when standing in front of folks who are taking crazy decisions on our behalf. These questions are fierce, fearless and utterly just. And the banker has nothing to say. This is about 5 minutes long:
This is very funny and very clever, even though Gingrich’s support seems to be crashing (at least in Iowa):

This weekend’s news has been fascinated with the suspension of Herman Cain’s fake bid for the White House. Fake, because he was just opening a campaign HQ this weekend and still hasn’t actually staffed up to properly compete in either Iowa or NH. He *has* been furiously fundraising, selling books and managing his profile. Much like the Alaska grifter and all of the other GOP grifters looking for their pipeline of wingnut welfare, Herman was alot of sound and fury, signifiying nothing. Which ultimately qualified him to be the GOP frontrunner for one New York minute. And that “suspending” business seems to mean that Herman can still raise money.
Much fun is being had at Herman’s expense, not the least of which is SNL with their CainWreck skit on Saturday:
One more, this time from Elon James White (a very funny guy) — a tumblr called #HermanCainAsDrake.
And the Huffington Post has a sadly funny piece noting how Herman Cain quoted freely from the Pokemon movie:

Senator Coons was on one of the Sunday Yack shows — ABC This Week — this morning:
Note how this goes — this is meant to be a piece on bipartisanship between Rubio and Coons. Rubio doesn’t mind slamming the President for not being involved with the Supercommittee and Coons is working on polite even-handedness.
Yawn.
Hysterical!
The American Dream Movement called for supporters to rally at the Congress last Thursday, that resulted in a few hundred folks who showed up to send a message to Congress asking for a debt deal that was fair for ordinary Americans — no cuts fo Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. I noted in a comment recently that this rally was held on the same day that the teajadis also rallied — with far fewer people (most accounts note that there was more press than ralliers), yet wall to wall coverage in the MSM. The MSM was nowhere near as interested in the progressive rally, although as the American Dream blog post notes, there was some coverage on NPR and in Roll Call. Here is some video (about 2 mins, 30 secs) of the rally from the American Dream people:

And the tejadis who rallied that day? Behold:
And yet this is what got all of the coverage. Go figure.
