Reboot of the sappy Paul Harvey Farmer commercial from the Superbowl -- this time with a major readjustment for reality (approx. 2 minutes)

It is a little raucous, but this video is of a Native American reacting to an illegal immigration protest.    If you listen closely at the beginning you even get to hear the "I'm part Native American" deflection:

Watch closely and maybe you'll agree that these two aren't exactly having the same conversation. And where did this idea that any gun laws must be 100% effective? We don't have this standard for any other legislation....

I love this kid. This might be the best video of the year -- already. It is hard to pick my favorite bits, but the You Can Cry About It or You Can Dance About It works as advice I especially needed recently. The Other 98% has created this ad that sounds as though it will air nationally next week. It is meant to point out the absurdity of giving EXXON $10B in taxpayer subsidies while climate change is making itself felt. It also helps that this is circulating during the "fiscal cliff" BS -- if John Boehner is looking for cuts to save money, here is one to start with.

Today is the 149th anniversary of Lincoln's delivery of this speech that he presented at the dedication of the Soldier's National Cemetery in Gettysburg. It was commemorated with remarks by Steven Spielberg, near the site where Lincoln gave his address. The video inside Gregory Peck delivering the address.
