Colm Connelly to be Replaced After All?

Filed in Uncategorized by on April 23, 2007

An Eagle-eyed Kos Diarist caught a clue about the future of our favorite local crime-fighter(h/t This guy). Is he being replaced to run against Biden? Or did my post about him make Rove realize that Colm hadn’t been prosecuting enough Democrats?

The GOP isn’t going to waste resources trying to take down Biden, but they might be trying to put up a fight for the House seat.

  2. anon says:

    A three way primary !?!

No way. Castle must have some little bit of juice left, enough to head off a Rove based challenger anyway.

More likely that Rove wants Rosen in, for some reason,. As the diarist points out, this would be one way of achieving that goal under the Senate radar.

    A three way primary

    No, a Castle retirement.

Great catch geek. More proof of the power of distributed “networked” intellgence.

I saw this on Kos last night, but also saw the update that suggests that Mr. Rosen may be coming back to take over a Division of the office *under* Colm Connelly. This may be some ado about something, but I don’t see it yet…

  6. steamboat willy says:

according to press reports, Colm is being considered for a federal judgeship.

I wonder what Biden and Carper might think or this development given that BushCo is apparently making some appointments with no Senatorial consultation.

  8. anon says:

If I were CC I’d think twice about accepting anything from GWB, least of all a no-confirmation appointment. Five years from now, no Republican will want to live with the “loyal Bushie” stigma.

you think it will take five years? what about now?

I’m guessing this is dawning on Mike Castle’s team right about now.

Another thing on CC: If he is in fact up for a judgeship, that’s for life, so maybe he doesn’t care if he gets some Bush stink on him.
