Mara Gorman is the Public Affairs Manager for Planned Parenthood Of Delaware. She was the Delaware Chapter Leader for Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense In America. She has been a freelance writer for 24 years and, for ten years, was the Founder and publisher of an award-winning blog–The Mother Of All Trips. She is the Volunteer Chair for the Newark Chapter of the NAACP.
She’s also a published travel writer. She has quite the peripatetic background.

Mara is not only great politically, she’s just a great human being overall. I think she’ll make an amazing addition down in Dover, along with the many other new faces we’ll be seeing down there.

What Josh said. Mara is a wonderful person, but also puts her values into action, and has been an absolute force in getting good candidates elected and good legislation passed. I love this.

I am excited about Mara. Interesting that this seems to be the year of the “policy people” pushing to become policymakers. As happy as I will be to have Mara and Monica Beard running bills, I sure will miss them fighting for bills. Hopeful that they backfill their day jobs with people who may take this path too – that inside knowledge is so important to having legislators who can be up and running on day one.
