8th & 9th RD “Jack Pack” Formed

Filed in National by on October 22, 2007

If numbers of volunteers and the enthusiasm of those volunteers are a measure of a candidate’s future success, then Jack Markell is going to do very well in in MOT-land.

Tonight our local “Jack Pack” was formed and it was not your standard meeting of a handful of cynical and leathery campaign junkies. Most of the folks in attendance were taking part in their first political campaign. That tells me something. While Carney might have the political insiders signed up, Markell is focused on increasing the number of first time primary voters and is starting by getting first time volunteers signed up.

If what happened tonight in my neck of the woods is being repeated around the state, Markell is the next Governor.

And Joanne Christian will win in a romp.

Based on what Dave told Dana about Christian.

    Consider the source.

  4. handful of cynical and leathery campaign junkies…..WTF??? Daniello?

  5. Dave says:

Can you ask Jack why he’s holding fundraisers at various Republican homes and asking Republicans to switch parties to vote for him in the primary? Is he really trying to convince Republicans that he’s the real Republican in the race?

Jack, brother, just come on out of the closet. It’s okay to want to be a Republican.

  6. jason330 says:

I happened to ask him that once and he said that there was a lot of interest in his campaign from the Republican side from day one.

I guess some Republicans are not flat out party hacks like yourself and can evaluate candidates on their merits.

Or maybe these Republicans who are coming over are not happy with the choices being made by the GOP leadership.

Either way, I’m sure you are not suggesting that he should turn away supporters.

  7. Dave says:

No. He should rush and rush and get as many dollars as he can before Levin gets in.

Maybe he can buy some name ID with it.

  8. jason330 says:

Ha. Levin….that’s right he is running for something isn’t he.

Oh yeah, the right to be the Republican place holder the elction after the real election.

Maybe that’s why so many R’s are registering as Democrats. They want a say in who is going to be the next Governor.

  9. Dave says:

You keep telling yourself that while Jack tries to convince R’s to switch.

  10. jason330 says:

    Dude,

You are just trying to take your mind off of Protack. He’s giving you nightmares.
