Democratic Truth and Reconciliation Conference

I agree with this:

The relevant point is that the Democratic party needs unity to combat the dangers and damage of Trumpism.

But the facts remain: Bernie was cheated out of the nomination, and a large part of the party is still beholden to those cheaters who count large donors and the financial industry as supporters. So how do we move past the Clinton/Wasserman Schultz crimes into the light of a new day? How do we form a national party that can win?

I would say, at the very least Clinton needs to resign from the party and from politics. She is in and of herself, toxic. If she is the patriot she claims to be that should be a price she is willing to pay to save the country from Trumpism and the party from irrelevance.

“Bernie was cheated out of the nomination”

And many believe Hillary was cheated out of the election.

Cheating is part of how they play the game. It’s hard to appeal to people by saying, “But we cheat less than they do.”

The disagreement is over where the money comes from, not where it goes.

I remain convinced that the nearly 450 “super-delegates” decisions to pledge their votes to Clinton before the first caucus or primary votes were cast contributed to the primary defeat of Sanders. Every newscast from every network would project Clinton’s total with those vote totals identified in the number for super-delegate promises. The system itself is as undemocratic as you can get when it allows such an advantage in perspective and actuality. I also firmly believe that most of those pre-vote committed “super delegates” were influenced, swayed, cajoled and persuaded by the prospect of the deep-pockets Clinton cabal and its planned $$$$ disbursement to them or their special interests. The corruption and influence peddling permitted by the status-quo preserving rules of the Democrat party is responsible for this deranged nightmare of a president as any individual for condoning and encouraging this behavior. As long as Perez has his slimy paws on the tiller (steering on behalf of the Clintons and their status-quo maintaining third-way acolytes) I have no hope that the course will be corrected and the reef lies dead ahead.

None of this really matters because….
Conservatives KNOW that to keep the majorities in governorships, state legislatures, U.S. House and Senate, and to keep the Presidency, they must govern. They must accomplish. They must improve things for everyone in the Country (including liberals who just won’t realize things are better). And conservatives must do this by enacting conservative legislation, not liberal nonsense.
Liberals on the other hand THINK by bashing Trump they can win back majorities. Which scenario sounds more logical?
