C’mon, folks, get your nominees for 2021 MVP’s (Most Valuable to the Progressive Cause in Delaware) in.  Time’s running short.

The thread’s a little late this morning.  Last night’s Twisted Pine concert was so awesome. Not to mention, as the producer, I’m more than a little worn-out today.  Those steps at the Gild Hall aren’t getting any easier to climb.

But, I digress.  Time to double-down on what they’re (not) paying me for.

Merry Christmas From Rep. Thomas Massie:

Assistant Attorney General Deeply Involved In Seeking To Overturn Biden’s Win In Georgia.  Was working in tandem with White House.

Jeffrey Clark, an assistant attorney general in the Justice Department under Donald Trump, played a key role in Trump’s conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election. And new evidence obtained by the House committee investigating the January 6th insurrection suggests he was working more closely with the White House than was previously known.

In late December 2020, Clark drafted a letter that he wanted the Justice Department leadership to send to election officials in Georgia falsely stating that “the Department of Justice is investigating various irregularities in the 2020 election for President of the United States” and recommending that Georgia’s legislature convene to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

“I also wanted to ask him about metadata in that draft letter that indicates some involvement with the White House Communications Agency [in] the drafting or preparation of that letter,” the January 6 committee’s chief counsel said at a November 5 deposition for Clark, which was first reported by Rachel Maddow on Friday night.

Cuomo’s Brother Shit-Canned By CNN–On Merit.  Ran interference for his despicable brother:

While the contours of Chris Cuomo’s involvement with the governor’s office were reported several months ago, the specifics were detailed in a massive document dump on Monday. The documents — released by New York Attorney General Letitia James after an investigation into the governor — showed that Chris Cuomo, while working as one of CNN’s top anchors, was also effectively working as an unpaid aide to the governor.
The cozy and improper nature of the relationship was conveyed through text messages obtained by James’ office. The texts between the anchor and several aides and allies of the governor revealed that Chris Cuomo sought to use his connections in the press to help prepare Andrew Cuomo’s team as accusers started to make their stories public.

A federal judge on Friday rejected a request by the University of Delaware to allow the state Supreme Court to weigh in on a lawsuit over coronavirus restrictions imposed by school officials last year.

The judge ruled in August that current and former students could pursue claims that the university breached contractual obligations and unjustly enriched itself by halting in-person classes and shutting down the campus last spring. The plaintiffs are seeking partial refunds of their spring 2020 tuition and fees.

Of course, the university wanted to have it both ways.  They filed suit in Federal court, didn’t like the ruling, sought to get it transferred to the Delaware courts:

On Friday, Bibas refused to certify those questions to Delaware’s Supreme Court, noting that the university itself had transferred the case to federal court.

“Parties must live with the choices they make, even if they later regret them,” he wrote. “Here, the University of Delaware asked me to decide a novel issue of Delaware law. I did. Now, having lost that battle, the university asks me to let the Delaware Supreme Court take a second crack at it. Doing so would be unfair and wasteful.”

Who did the university think they were dealing with–the General Assembly?

What do you want to talk about?

One would hope that the ATF or some other agency will now stop by Rep. Massie’s house to make sure he has the proper permits for the M60 machine gun he’s holding and perhaps for the Thompson submachine gun the woman on the couch with him (I guess it’s Mrs. Massie) is holding.

One Twitter response I saw elsewhere seemed appropriate: “What would the birthday boy say?”

Can I nominate people here? If so, I nominate Marie Pinkney, Karl Stomberg, Drew Serres… probably forgetting some but that is a good start
