Inscrutable NJ Letter to the Editor of the Year

Filed in Delaware by on November 11, 2008

I’m not trying to horn in on Hube’s territory, but thsi letter is just breathtakingly crazy. I think the guy has some point to make, though I’m not 100% sure.

Socialists are taking over Dover and Washington

To Democrats who voted blindly, thank you for stealing from me what my father worked a lifetime to build through his blood, sweat and tears, and vowed to leave to his children and grandchildren. Thank you for sending the message it’s OK to have kids and not work because my family’s wealth will be redistributed to you.

Thank you for voting for someone who swears to revamp a failed school system so that my children can continue to wallow in ignorance rather than to provide tuition vouchers. With friends like you, who needs enemies?

Antonio Tiberi, Claymont

I think they purposely print this type of bullshit just to make the author look like a total ass.

  3. nemski says:

    Dear Mr. Tiberi:

    You’re welcome.

    Dear Mr. Tiberi:

Thank you for volunteering for our new socialist tax bracket. Our people will be in touch with your people for the ritual transfer of assets shortly.

I love how he admits that he is the son of someone who made a lot of money and in the next sentence complains the “it’s OK to have kids and not work” because his father’s industry will be squandered on them.

    ????

  6. cassandra_m says:

And for all of his family’s wealth, you’d think that guy could send his kids to private school without vouchers.

  7. Geezer says:

Incredible how much people like this resent anyone below them on the socio-economic ladder getting anything. In my experience, there are a lot more white people who resent welfare recipients than there are welfare recipients.

  8. Unstable Isotope says:

    Jason,

I doubt his father made a lot of money. Some people are convinced that taxing the wealthy means taxing them as well (like Joe the Plumber).

  9. I wonder if he’s the son of that boxing dude, Dave Tiberi?

  10. Susan Regis Collins says:

Mr. Tiberi should take a hint from how Warren Buffet is (not) distributing inherited wealth to his progeny.

As my sweet Texas girlfriend’s Mom used to say: ‘Shirt sleeves to Shirt sleeves’ in three generations: gen.# 1 makes the $$$$, gen. #2 benefits/spends the $$$, and gen. # is back to work. I give you the local example of the Krafpt family….I am certain you could cite others.

So, Mr. Tiberi forgetaboutit: ….you can’t take it with you and you can’t control it after your gone. Unless you’re like Mr. Buffet, Ted Turner, and others and you ‘do the right thing’ with your $$$ while you can you’re a loser in the game of life.

Greedy little bugger probably sleep’s under a blanket w/AC all summer; others, not because they didn’t work hard enough, do not even enjoy the benefit of a fan.

  11. P.I. says:

    Dear Mr Tiberi,

If your family had any wealth you wouldn’t be writing from Claymont. You’d be sipping MaiTai’s on some sun kissed island while the rest of us (making under $250,000/year) groom your lawn and shine your shoes.

    Get over yourself, sir.

  12. kavips says:

George W. Bush will be the biggest socialist this planet has ever known… after he leave office and the historians start uncovering his remains…..

Enter with 5 Trillion projected surplus….Exit with a 10 Trillion deficit…. Total loss of 15 trillion taxpayers dollars….

Yep, sounds like a socialist to me….

  13. Al Mascitti says:

“Greedy little bugger probably sleep’s under a blanket w/AC all summer; others, not because they didn’t work hard enough, do not even enjoy the benefit of a fan.”

If he can afford to sleep under a blanket with the AC on, what’s it to you? You’re gonna go all socialist on the guy because he dared to be stupid?

  14. delacrat says:

Democrats did vote blindly…. for Mike Castle.

  15. what’s scary is I know some Tiberi’s and so does my dad. Went to school with them…I’m sure he has stories to tell…..
