Nancy Karibjanian, long a staple of the news that no one watches, has decided to leave WHYY’s newscast, although she will continue to do some other things with the station.
Through the years I’ve been working the balancing act of family life and broadcasting. Now as my oldest child is getting ready for college I realize just how much of my children’s lives I’m missing by not being home in the afternoons and early evenings. Therefore I’ve decided to leave my position as anchor for WHYY Delaware Tonight. I will remain involved with WHYY, but will shift my priority to family dinners at a reasonable hour and a seat in the stands at high school soccer and lacrosse games.
Leaving to spend more time with the family…Sounds like a scandal to me. 🙂
