Katie Couric as an Analog to Iraq

Filed in Uncategorized by on April 23, 2007

The Philadelphia Inquirer has a story about how CBS insiders are calling Katie Couric “an expensive, unfixable mistake.”  I really don’t give a damn about Katie Couric, I’m sure she is a nice person.  But this reminded me of another expensive unfixable mistake.  Fortunately the CBS unfixable mistake doesn’t cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives.  Ironically, if more people think the same thing about Ms. Couric, CBS will cut their losses and get rid of their expensive, unfixable mistake.  We have to wait until January 2009 to get rid of our expensive, unfixable mistake.

I read that quote about Couric but didn’t put it together.

Rumor has it that the Today show let her go because they knew she would tank on the evening news. Then, their (NBC) late night news picks up the ratings from her crappy news, makes more money at the 6:30 hour, and eventually, they get their today show back on track because the other morning shows are so horrible.

pretty damn sneaky if it’s true.

Some people may say that Katie is a over-hyped, disingenuous hack…

    …I’d say they’re right.
