I just recently saw the new Harry Potter movie. One if the themes of that book and movie is the corruption of absolute power. A wicked woman was given full authority to make up whatever stupid rule that she deemed necessary for success, no matter the consequences.
Our moron-in-chief has done some decidin’. He has issued an executive order that give the Treasury the ability to seize property, secretly, of people who:
undermin[e] efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people.
You can read the whole thing here, but it seems to me that Congress would have to make a law, and the SCOTUS would have to determine if it passes muster on the 5th Amendment. I must be missing something.
