What I’m reading

bookpic.jpgUnfortunately for me all the dora books were checked out (most likely by all the illegals) I picked this up on a whim, like I do most of my books. I am about half way through and it is providing an inside glimpse of what goes on in Fallujah and Ramadi from a grunt’s point of view. I don’t exactly agree with his deciding to go awol, however, I can understand why he would want to.

Reading the book I can see why there is little trust between us and the Iraqi’s. I can fully understand how the chain of command at times of a war can break down in a heartbeat and be the biggest disadvantage to a soldier or marine. I would recommend this book to any of you conservative or liberal. It sheds light on some disturbing behavior that occurs on those nightly home invasions.
