What’s in a name?

Filed in National by on September 24, 2007

So this is GM’s big new thing that is going to turn the company around. It is called the ENCLAVE.

If that name does not speak to what a petty, small minded, bunch of piss on our pants fraidy-cats this country has become, then I don’t know what does.

    enclave

    noun
an enclosed territory that is culturally distinct from the foreign territory that surrounds it

Do you mean the area between Appalachia and California, aka – Jesusland?

Or is it the progressive cities within this Jesusland? Which would make them an enclave inside an enclave.

hate to say it, but it isn’t a bad looking car…

but damn who picked that name? AWESOME!!!

the best part is that I bet most of the car was made in china and mexico

  3. jason330 says:

it is a decent looking car – but not much different from many in that category. The BMW version comes to mind.

  4. Jason O'Neill says:

Product differentiation, even within GM’s line is their biggest problem. This Enclave is the sister to the Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia.

Why three models for essentially the same vehicle? They are confusing the consumer.

Jason, you are kicking butt & taking names.

Seriously, man, your insights lately have been staggeringly beautiful and apropos.

Keep it up and I’m going to put up a shrine to you in my office…complete w/ your photograph, incense and votive candles.

Is that the office we see in your video posts? I know of a picture of him Elizabeth Wenk once possessed. It had a few holes from darts, though.
