Comment Rescue: Matt Denn For Congress 2010
The only other big decision that can help the State as much as Governor Markell is convincing Denn to run against Castle.
Of course he’ll need to convice Tom Carper to break up with his sexless lover Mike Castle. If he can do that we’ll have real representation in Congress for the first time in decades.
I am now convinced Carper is a bigger problem than Castle.
It’s over for Castle. With a bigger Dem majority in the House and a Dem President, Castle will no longer be in a position to damage the country any further.
Carper on the other hand cannot be trusted to vote with Dems, or even on the side of decency (torture, bankruptcy, surveillance, etc.). And the Dem margin in the Senate will likely be slim enough that Carper could do some damage with his Lieberman-esque votes.
It would be great to have a real Dem in the House seat, if only to isolate Carper and highlight his out-of-touch votes.
